AIA Continuing Education Course--Steel Modular Construction

Postby ConstructionSimplified » Tue Sep 14, 2010 10:47 am

DeLuxe Building Systems, a top provider of steel-framed modular multi-family buildings, will be hosting its first continuing education course, entitled "From Design to Completion: Understanding the Permanent Steel Modular Building Construction Process and Recent Innovations to the Steel Modular Method" at its Berwick, PA office and production facility on October 21st, 2010.

Approved by the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES), AIA members’ successful completion of the course earns them two hours of HSW (Health, Safety, and Welfare) learning unit requirements.

The course provides a comprehensive overview of two different steel-framed modular construction methods, and also presents the benefits of steel-framed construction verses wood-framed traditional or modular construction methods. A production facility tour will enable course participants to explain the steel-framed modular construction process. Additionally, participants will be able to define four specific LEED® topics that modular construction contributes towards, and describe the benefits of building with steel-framed modular construction methods in urban areas.

To register for the free course, currently scheduled for October 21st from 11am-2pm, contact John Erb at AIA members will receive credit for successful completion of the 2 hour course.
