Adapting an unfold program for Architects
Adapting an unfold program for Architects
hey guys,
I just posted this in the 'students' forum but it applies to professionals as well so I thought I'd place it here as well.
I am working on a plugin for Google Sketchup which allows users to unfold, print and build their sketchup models in real life - think paper models. I designed this with hobbyists in mind but am now trying to make an 'architect-friendly' version. To do so requires that I understand the kinds of models that architects would typically want to build a paper version of.
If anyone is interested in talking with me either by email (ruski.canuk[at]gmail.com) or phone (403-604-0479), I would be much obliged. The kinds of
questions that I want to ask include:
Do you use Sketchup? If so, how often and for what purpose?
Do you build paper models? If so, what, if any, software do you use to help?
Could you send me an example Sketchup model of the kind of work you might build a paper model version of?
Etc...
Thanks guys - I really appreciate your help.
btw, do figure out more about the software, you can go to www.waybe.ca
best,
Justin
