Designworkshop lite walkthrough feature

Hi, I have recently downloaded Designworkshop lite and installed in Windows Me edition. I do not see Walkthrough script and Sun study command in View menu. It will be really helpful if any one with same problem can share the solution for the issues.

The Walkthrough Script and Sun Study features are only available in the Pro version, to my knowledge. You can still do a "live" (unrecorded) walkthrough from a 'Lights & Textures' view at eye-level, though.

I remember that the first time I downloaded the Lite version several years ago that it came with the Sun Study feature, but that must have subsequently been removed in later versions.

If you need the features you mentioned, spend your money on a different program. As much as I love DesignWorkshop, and believe it is an excellent 3D rectilinear/angular modeler (no curve modeling), other 3D modeling products have really left it behind of late.

What I should have pointed out before is that it is still possible to do a sun study, but it must be done by manually inputting info into the Sun & Shading Settings in the Arrange menu. The best days of the year for a sun study are the Summer and Winter Solstice (June 21 and December 21) and the Spring or Fall Equinoxes (just pick one Equinox, because the sun is at the same relative position in the sky on both days). The best times of day are at 1 or 2 hour intervals during day light operating hours of your model building (so a school will be from 7am-3pm, but not over summer, unless there are summer classes).

That will give you the extremes of the altitude (vertical angle of elevation) and azimuth (horizontal angle from true south) of the sun for optimum study.

As for doing a manual recorded walkthrough...I still haven't figured that one out yet, but I imagine it would involve saving a series of screen shots and using a separate program capable of interpolating them together. If anyone knows of a way to do this, please share!

I appreciate your suggestions for the sun study. Will definitely share if I come across any solution to view the interpolated images from Designworkshop for live 'walkthrough' and 'sun study' effects.

For nice rendering with DesignWorkshop you will the Pro version.
