name of architect/home

A while ago - many months, now - I saw a house on an A&E program (I think it was House Beautiful) which was on a secluded island, and the architect who designed it lived in this home. The most I can remember about it is that the walls are like garage doors and slide up to allow an airy workspace, and one of the many features of the home was a lap-pool that was part of the roof of one of what I recall to be 3 or 4 buildings which were close together. I believe they were seperated, but may have been connected, or some might've been connected and some seperated.

Does anyone happen to know the architect or name of this home?
