Converting Maya File to Cad File?

Wondered if it's possible to creative a file in Maya or other 3-D program and convert it to a CAD file. Would like file to be animated think car pieces coming together to make a whole car. Any suggestions on the best way to do this would be really appreciated. Would like to end up with a CAD file vs starting with a CAD file
