It is a collection of the links I have enjoyed most on this forum, together with a collection of my recent essays and writings in architecture. So this explains the large quantity of characters and words. It is not elaborated as a standard discussion topic, but rather as a summary of the links I have found most interesting in these forums, and I wish to keep it this way. So please post comments relevant to the issues and relevant essays in architecture.

I do welcome constructive feedback on the topics, but no monkey wrenching, ridiculing or hijacking of this post, please. Enough topics have already been ruined in this design community forum due to this type of behavior by ill intended individuals.

Please save the forums therefore and submit your constructive feedback please, and ones that are relevant to the topics at hand. A NEW SYSTEM OF AI

In architecture we need a new system of AI capable of creating a human computer interface, where the power of the human mind and it's reflection of ID guides the ultimate design of AI by establishing the set of "DNA architectural sequences" that will produce the proper result when fed into the AI system.

THE NEW DNA AND AI IN ARCHITECTURE

This systematics will allow for the expansion of architectural laboratories, where the human interface interacts with the AI and the second learns the proper set of " DNA" architectural sequences needed to solve particular problems, and can thus instantaneously, so to speak, display an infinity of results in the physical dimension of modeled space. This now is the ultimate design tool, one that allows for the fine-tuning and progression of the system based on the human interface interaction in a never ending progressive experience. The proposal is for maintaining the human interface in these AI systems as a permanent dialog. Thus, by speaking of an intent, and by the selection of desired DNA architectural sequences, the designer thus will be able to guide the initial directives for the AI system to propose the alternatives. In turn, the dialog continues and the design evolves to the likes of the intelligence of the designer, who must thus maintain control of the system. In sequential experiences, this learning experience can lead to stream-lined communication platforms, where entire sequences of DNA architectural encoding can simply be selected by choosing pre-selected images which contain the directives for those previous sequences of decisions. Also, verbal dialogs can just as much program the directives in the same way as command or key directives. Thus, a whole new range of interface options will result and a whole new way of AI design has been established.

ON THE TERM "CONCEPT" IN ARCHITECTURE, found in the discussion on Concept in the link presented above -->>

Rather then referring to "concept" in architecture, we should use the language of architecture, and speak of what "vocabulary" we wish to use and what is the language of our design. It is the language of architecture that conveys the meaning, the intent and can create a world before our eyes. "Concept", on the other hand, is vague, more related to philosophy, to the the mind. It does not express the true vocabulary of architecture. If we analyze the history of the word, the use and application and it's confusion can be understood. In architecture, it seems we tend to be carried by pre-conceived ideas and these tend to get carried on by generations and the terms are mis-applied or ill fitted to express the nature of the architectural thought and language. When we began to speak the language of architecture, we will begin to ask : What VOCABULARY or LANGUAGE of architectural thought have you adopted to guide your design idea, not what CONCEPT have you chosen ?

We as architects must seek to undermine the status quo, the traditional way of thinking and radically re-compose the world and vocabulary that should belong to us as a profession, and not simply be a coining of ill applied terminology.

Human Perceptions of Space in Architecture

HUMAN PERCEPTIONS OF SPACE and the creation of Architectural Theory and it's relation to design practice.

We need new architectural theory and ways to design our environment, based on the human experience of space.

In our architecture, we must create a humanizing implant of forms that allow the space to be bound by the human experience.

Thus, we see the role of architecture in the ordering and articulation of space.

The Po MO plastic surface architecture we see in many of our cities is ordered by developers rather then by a true architectural sense of spatial responsibility and human experience. Thus, we must lay for the future a new path, one of the destruction of the old cold de-humanizing space, and for a re-creation of architecture according to the relationship it has to space and the experiencing of space. So, when we speak of culturally and humanly relevant architecture, rather then speak of "Experiencing Architecture", we must speak of "Experiencing Architecturally Humanizing Space".

Some Important spatial concepts we must consider are -->>

1. The importance of Localized spaces.

2. The ideas of Spatial extension and movement.

3. Articulate human space versus the space of movement.

4. The Ecstasy of Infinity.

5. Vastness and narrowness in architectural definition.

6. How networks of mobility influence our perceptions of space.

7. The road and movement of cars leads to a defacing of the cities, and lack of local spatial definition!

8. The street is ex-centrically related to dwelling space.

So in architecture, how we articulate our space becomes important.

Thus, how we create a sense of community in contrast to the path of the vehicle, which exerts a dehumanizing experience of space. Architecture thus also becomes culturally influenced by the cosmic connection or lack of cosmic connection to the universe around us. Thus, the practice of architects outside the confines of their own culture can be a risky business, in other words. The cultural values placed on different conceptions of space becomes thus relevant.

In architecture, we dehumanize our spaces when the same lack humanizing spatial qualities in both our urban spaces as well as in the architecture of our buildings.

In architecture, nothing can be a " natural fact". There is no use in celebrating the decoration, if the architecture, in it's " functional aesthetics" has not understood it role to develop a more organic connection with nature. In nature, we see a natural progression and a connection and spiritual unity in form and function. But in architecture, this must be artificially created, otherwise it is not present in any form. Thus, to say this immutable law of nature automatically applies to architecture does not make sense. Further, in nature, there is no sequential relationship of elements between form and function, as this assumes. There is a unity between the two. In architecture, this unity is not always present and depends on the designer, in his ability to unite form and function into an integrated solution. Many times, architects can create forms that somewhat deviate from their function, and thus there is no inherent " natural " connection between ideas, unless a designer knows how to produce this connection and translate it into his architecture into a beautiful union of form and function.

Now, we have a completely new formulation and variety of spaces to deal with in architecture -->>

Stationary space, spaces in movement, articulated spaces, vast spaces, narrow spaces, spaces in networks of mobility, ex-centric spaces, home based centralized referential spaces, localized space, defined space, undefined space, community spaces, infinite space, vehicular spaces, ground space, elevated space, horizontal space, vertical space, ceiling space, pathway space, enclosed space, open space, directional space, fluid space, contemplative space, transitional space and on. The list becomes endless, according to the human experience. Space is no longer an infinite fluid undefined element that we allow to simply " flow " through our architecture.

Space thus becomes relevant to the human experience in a beautiful way. We can allow this way for a greater connection between our spatial conceptions and our cultural heritage. This also can influence our zoning laws as perceived by our cultural values. By taking artistic and cultural values of a particular society into account, we can create a relevant spatial language and thus implement this in a practical way into our ordinances in such a way that we preserve our artistic and cultural history, by our conception and perception of space. (Public, private, transitional spaces particularly).

No longer do we need to order our architecture according to classic ordering principles. Those, of romantic or ancient times, become substituted for a new language and vocabulary of architecture that frees itself from the traditions of the past.

We thus discover, moreover, that by allowing our architecture to maintain a greater sense of spatial vocabulary, we also develop a more intimate connection to the human experience of the world around us.

Further, our architecture can define whichever conception of space we wish to project. Our architecture can thus better relate to how we define, experience and view the space around us. In a localized statement, there is thus room for architecture to create a human mood definition of how to relate to space. In creating an architectural mood, and a connection to various conceptions and human experiences of space, our architectural space can be thus treated in a multitude of ways, depending on the spatial relationship and experience we wish to high-light, as defined by a program of spaces. Thus, our architecture can be treated as "ground space", elevated or suspended space, floating space, ceiling space, pathway space, enclosed space, open space, directional space, fluid space, articulated space with open and closed voids, which define the human experience as localized spatial experiences. Thus, our buildings can open up to the cosmic space at times, to create a sense of insecurity, or even of ecstasy of infinity, or feeling of vastness, or can close into personalized space at times, to allow for a feeling of definition. Our architecture can be "floating" and create a sense of fluid light spaces, or can be, according to the hierarchy of architectural spaces, be created as primary or secondary space.

We can use the concept of ground space to relate to the home, and elevated space, in connection to the sky, as the place to dream and view the world below. We thus have a new sense and meaning to the exploration of space, and to the idea of building cities in space, as we will be experience the cosmos and world around us in a completely new way.

We can thus formulate a new vocabulary and language of architecture, using this new conception of space. Space no longer is universal, endless, it becomes defined by the human experience! Thus, we can create buildings or spaces as pathways, such as museums, or as fluid space, where the changing nature of the functions allows for a fluidity of definition. We can thus associate this fluidity of space with a fluid, movement oriented architecture and translate this into fluid forms.

We can design our architecture along new networks of mobility and allow it in a sense to communicate in a different way from localized architecture which maintains a greater connection to the community. Thus, the future networks of mobility, both earth-bound, and celestial bound, become the new ordering and organizing elements, as they create new ways to perceive space around us, and thus will directly influence our views of the city, of civilization, of how to live in the cosmos and planet earth. The degree or facility of our mobility in these systems will determine also how we value our spatial experiences and thus also call for a new architecture.

In the community sense, we can re-design our ordinances in such a way that we take into account the spatial definitions in the ordering of space. Thus, when we see our cities by following old traditional zoning laws, create a narrowness of space and do not allow man to expand into space as they should, we end up with new zoning laws that call for new ordering principles. Thus, in some cases, more stepping back of buildings, for example. This implies organizing our architecture according to the governing predominant beneficial spatial definitions that exist in the cities. Thus, culturally relevant landmarks become important in establishing zoning laws, points of reference, axial transitions, the relationships of volumes becomes important, as well as the architecture to be defined along paths of movement. The zoning laws can call for a different architecture along zones of movement, where the spatial perception is modified, versus localized neighborhood architecture. Both in essence call for a more localized humanizing spatial experience. Further, all these principles of space call for new urban re-development efforts, new city designs, and new ways to view the interplay of spatial definitions in our architecture.

Further, an "anthromorphic" view of space defines that man in essence creates and defines his own conception of space, based on his localized experience. So taking this into account, we now realize the modern call to allow space, of infinite quality, to simply flow through our architecture is completely wrong. In doing this, we end up with architecture that lacks in spatial quality. Thus, our new architecture should deal with every aspect of space and our experience of space, and not organize itself based on external organizational principles, but based on the human experience of space as defined by a local context of our architecture. There is no more room, in this vision, for badly articulated space, for geometries and shapes which do not enhance the human experience. In effect, we learn how to better rid ourselves of the architectural trash of geometric spaces and shapes that maintain no relevancy to an experience of space. If the geometry and shapes create a human addition to space and help us better to create a mood of spatial experience, they become justified. If they do not, they are destroying and de-humanizing our spatial experience. We thus have a filter to use in our design practice.

In Summary, we end up with a new vocabulary for architecture, a new vocabulary for the cities of the future and a new vision on how we perceive and influence the space around us, as Architects.

Our buildings then can become more organic, more related to man and nature when we truly capture the human experience of space in all its multi faceted forms of human experience, from the contemplation of a flower, to the vastness of the expanse of the cosmic container of perception. When we understand how we as humans perceive space, we can thus establish a greater connection to nature and the cosmos as well. Truly, by relating our architecture to nature, as Wright did, to natural forms, to mountains, to rocks, to water, to lakes, to rivers, to plants, to air, to wind, to fire, to the earth, to the heavens, we create an articulated architecture that in essence becomes one with nature and embodies a deeper connection to the functions of nature, versus the merely the simple human functions. Our architecture, in being more connected thus to the world around us, will serve us better, will be more organically connected and will serve a greater function. This implies also on more organic forms in architecture, if architecture is called to respond to nature in such a direct way. Now what these organic forms be we can but only allow the site, local determinants (the context), technology, practicality and social acceptance to determine.

We must thus learn to establish a connection between our architecture and the environment around us, and it's temporal qualities, such as Mr. Wright did in "Falling Water" and many great architects have done in contextualizing their architecture to the flow of energy, time, matter and the natural surroundings. Architecture that is immortal maintains a balance in it's connection to these elements, establishing a harmonious design that is in intricate connection to the world around us, and thus becomes the true "Timeless Way" of designing architecture."


Down with dehumanizing versions of FFF architecture, and those that do not maintain a broader understanding and spatial vocabulary of architecture.

Now, how can one argue FFF is an "immutable law of nature"?

It was coined in architecture to express the modernist cry, and cannot be considered an "immutable law of nature" in any sense.

In nature, it can be clearly seen, but not always in the architecture that has been produced over the course of time, since this modernist cry first arose into view. At times, the result has been such rigid control and application of FFF, that the buildings resulted in the application of narrow spatial understandings that led to cold, sterile, dehumanizing buildings that lacked a greater spatial definition and understanding.

It can be seen clearly that those who are opposing these ideas are obviously the ones supporting the direct Form Follows Function cry in architecture, rather then the ideas as best expressed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Beauty & The Beast of Details

Others will show how the beauty in the whole can be contemplated in it's parts, in each detail within the design. Thus, the part reflects the whole, and the whole it's parts. With this in mind, FLW and a great many designers have aspired to the sublime, to the ultimate perfection in design, to achieving a unity of form in function, in a relentless pursuit of this ultimate goal of integral design unity and harmony in the whole and in it's parts.

We can say as designers and architects that the whole is summed up in the beauty it contains. Or the beauty of the entire design should be reflected to some degree in the care to detail, and these, so to speak play together in a rhythmic synchrony as instruments in an orchestra, and together elevate the spirit of the observer into a spirit of sublime contemplation.

Do we as designers always have the opportunity to produce such masterpieces of design? In being restricted by our budget, by our clients tastes, too often we restrict ourselves into a forced functional simplification of form and detail, in order to contain the budget. But should this be the case ?

There are many samples of simple designs that although not ornately and intricately detailed, beauty can be contemplated even in their simplicity.

These are the true masterpieces.

We need not look very far in our modern society to see buildings replenished with the latest technology has to offer, from the most advanced environmental controls, LED lighting, Green Design and Environmentally friendly materials and technology. But many of these seem to lack something, seem to lack attention to detail, in their mechanized approach to design. They may display gigantic sheets of plated glass or the latest in fenestration, or even a fancy exterior of late modern explorations of form, but are these buildings really being detailed with extreme concern for detail, or are the dictates of technology, of the clients and architects taste taking precedence over the beauty in the details ?

In a study of architectural history, we find many periods and times when the dictates of the state, of the era of mechanization seem to supercead the dictates of the beauty in the details.

And then there are buildings that externally may appear to lack detail, but are ornately detailed on the interior. Is this a contradiction ? What are your views on this?

Does "beauty in the details" suggest a common motif and common design unifying element or can we unify chaotic details into a beauty of whole, as is frequently done in chaotic patterns in nature ? Do these make for good designs?

And, further, how do you feel the design process should direct the beauty in these details? Should it be a reflective process, one that springs out from the spirit, from the sub-conscious, from the moment of eureka? Or should it be a conscientious, rational, sober series of small design decisions that follow a unified theme of design?

And if beauty is in the details, does this suggest the beauty cannot be fully appreciated in the whole, without being able to grasp all the details from a distance ? From a user point of view, thus, if we are detached, distant away from the whole, we will not be able to contemplate the beauty in person, and thus not be able to fully contemplate the beauty in the design, unless we are there in person.

With this said, and suggesting human scale, human perception and human forms of experiencing design all play a part in the perceptions we as designers have as buildings.

Thus, it is not sufficient to simply study architecture from books. Thus, the need for experiencing architecture and the beauty in the details. Those, therefore who have never experienced a building in person cannot then fully contemplate the beauty in it's details.

Is this an axiom and should beauty always be found in the details ? What then of minimalism ? What of functional formalism ? What is to be said for the purists and those who aspire to clean design?

Can a design reflect beauty in the details simply from it's choice of materials and their combinations? Or should beauty be found in architectural details to a greater degree? Is a well detailed building then more beautiful then one built by a craftsman, with no architect to produce such details ? Or can a craftsman produce the same richness of details, simply out of his experience and own sense of beauty in the application of the same ?

Can we find many samples of buildings that although lacking many architectural details, are just as beautiful as those intricately detailed ?

Is not beauty in the eye of the beholder ? If this is so, beauty cannot be something contained simply in the details, but rather in the contemplation of the observer, who ascribes beauty within his framework of perception, to the vision he is obtaining within the context of his understanding.

Thus, we can see beauty is culturally oriented, it is racially oriented, it is a relative element that may or may not be contained in the details themselves.

We can find some styles in arts and architecture where beauty is revered, where ornate designs are in vogue. In other movements, simplicity and truth is sought in the pure simple form and application of materials and structural honesty.

Thus, beauty can also be inevitably linked to our philosophy as designers, to our ways of designing and interpreting beauty. This may or may not match the frame of reference of the observer, and may or may not be contemplated in the details we design.

Why is it, however, that certain buildings are inevitably beautiful to almost all, while many are beautiful to only select groups of people? This suggests there are common perceptions of beauty and these are translated into architecture, as the Greeks, the Romans, the Aegeans, the Moorish, the Christian, the Muslim civilizations have aspired to do for centuries. Thus, the ultimate quest for beauty in the details goes on. And the changing values, tastes, technologies of the times will always to one degree or another dictate the direction of possibilities. But it is in our mind and creative spirit that this ultimate beauty resides, and finds it's ultimate expression in the built environment we reveal.

A Summary of a Few Ideas

Now, some further developments. A few summary of some ideas we have been developing in conjunction with the Gateway to the Sky and also to the new transportation systems of the future, among other scientific developments we are progressing at Project Liquid Universe. These will be used with the STRUCTURES OF THE FUTURE to create a new way cities cities in space and will be incorporated into the structural gate to space. These will be used also as the energy sources for the floating space cities, so familiarity with basic notions is important to understand the systems, mechanics and energy sources of the future to use in our systems design. This provides the structure for multiple new generators, as well as an explanation for the circular shape of the craft that will connect to the new cities and new structural gates -->>

Altering Energy States of Matter

Magnetic Cancellation Theory

By altering the energy state of matter that is in rotation around the nucleus of the energy source, and controlling the phases of the energy states, we can create directional momentums that produce propulsion. This, explained by the general behavior of complex contained systems of matter.

We also produce a relative speed, which compared to static states of equilibrium, produces a "static state of inertia" that results in an incredible mass speed, with relation to the stationary masses in equilibrium. Thus in effect, we have mass moving at incredibly large speeds within the framework of the altered inertia equation, possible by altering these energy states of matter.

The masses, in their points of reference, move at a reasonable speed within the framework of the perimeter of vision, as defined by their governing energy state. To external observers, moreover, the matter appears to be moving at an incredible large speed. This, possible by the temporal distortion of time, with relation to the "static states of matter". The normal condition of matter, in general systems of behavior, versus altered exceptional conditions of a limited amount of matter, produces a relative distortion in the space time continuum, thus altering the perceptions of space and time.

This, together with the magnetic cancellation possible by generating new centers of equilibrium, produces unidirectional forces as defined by the governing internal magnetic fields of the bodies, subjected to the altering energy states, as applied to the greater rotating fluid of matter held in suspension around the nucleus.

By basing our energy producing nucleus on the design of the atom, we can quantify this energy and control the exterior perimeters of bound energy, by fluctuations of energy in the core, producing a resulting fluctuation of the energy states in the perimeter bound matter. In this radial distribution, using the atom as a model, we have a means to distribute the fluctuating energy in multi directional arrangements. Thus, by bending the rotating energy along squeezed orbits, we can thus produce governing patterns of directional forces, thus creating a system for propulsion.

By creating a controlled intense magnetic field, we can also control the re-arrangements of the contained energy in the matter, orienting it along the strands of energy pulses that we wish to govern the systems behavior. This allows the magnetic field to create uni directional bending forces capable of bending space along pre determined pathways, thus altering the magnetic field in the circumference of our pulsating fields of re-arranged energy states.

These re-arrangements of energy states basically alter the equations of momentum, of energy, of matter, of time, of space, of gravity, allowing us to manipulate these at will and create uni directional forces that are used as a system of propulsion.

The Gravitational Kinetics of Motion

Gravitational fiels exert governing polar behavior along predetermined polar axis. By creating our uni directional forces, we can also pulse and bounce these magnetic currents along the pre existing terrestrial polar axis, and thus use this also as a form of magnetic propulsion. Thus, our vehicles follow movements in space similar to the movements of satellites, as defined by the polar directional bounce in our directed systems.

The Gravitational Cancellation Theory

The altered energy states of matter, as shown, alter various equations and behavior of complex energy systems. and gravity is one of them. Gravity can suffer the effect of neutralization, if the individual polar coordinates of the atoms are re aligned along new paths, in such a way that their re alignment is opposite to the gravitation force. The new re alignment allows their governing axis to be opposite to the governing gravitational access of the greater body of matter, thus creating a force of repulsion, similar to the magnetic re alignment which occurs in positively and negative charged magnets.

Energy States and Their Relation to Renewable Energy


Energy states provide a source of renewable energy, in that that predominant energy patterns are generated by the distortions of the interior flux of the strings of energy currents. This in effect produces a quantifiable source of energy flux, which can be used to in effect produce work and thus usable energy. In effect, we are liberating incredible amounts of energy by tiny minute distortion of energy states. This creates a very slow decay of matter, rather then, by contrast, the immediate decay as produced by nuclear fission. We thus have a slow, controlled way to liberate the energy as contained in matter, and to use it as a source of renewable energy. This energy, as projected along governing strings or paths of movement, creates a source of usable energy, in contrast to the dispersed energy of nuclear fission. No longer are we concerned with radio active isotopes, or nuclear carbon des integration into unstable energy. Small quantifiable distortions and fluxes of energy states, by producing a governing pattern of behavior, produce also a controllable energy flux that is thus used in a practical way as a source of renewable energy.

The Model of an Atom as a Source of Renewable Energy

The atom, in its nucleus, rotating electron arrangement, serves as the model for this pulsating energy flux machine. By controlling the boundary energy flux areas by distortions in the nucleus, we create governing patterns of behavior and can thus control our governing flow of multi directional energy and bend this along preferred paths of movement, thus creating controllable renewable energy.

The New Language of Architecture

THE NEW LANGUAGE OF ARCHITECTURE

In architecture, many hold the term "concept" to be relevant to architecture. I personally do not. I prefer to think of the LANGUAGE of architecture, as I have demonstrated.

So who is to decide at what point architecture is allowed to cross the line into metaphysics, philosophy? We are doing it all the time in adopting the idea "concept" in architecture, without even knowing it.

Further, the Age of Enlightment brings man to the forefront, and man, rather then a supreme being, becomes the center of the universe and the center of himself. This humanism, is nothing but a religion of man as well. It is a cult of man, or in other words, a worship of man. So if many thus worship man, why cannot some worship another definition and believe this relationship of language of creation is related to the language we create as individuals?

It has been shown that language is related to design. Therefore, the language of architecture is related to design. Therefore, the language of architecture functions well for to substitute the idea CONCEPT.

And since language, as demonstrated, is an inherent part of genetic code, and genetic code is a language, and any language cannot happen by random mutations, or by spontaneous evolution, this shows the language of creation must be driven by creative individuals. Thus the idea of a creative intelligence and creative design behind everything that exists and that we create as architects.

Further, as has been demonstrated, this intelligent design calls for a new LANGUAGE of architecture. Thus, the connection has been established to the many posts on this subject of a language, in this discussion on concept.

There is thus a connection between language and design and thus the need for a LANGUAGE of architecture. The term concept is thus too vague.

The ideas and the connection of ideas in architecture can be expressed in a linear way, which represents the architectural thought process.

As shown, in this sequence of the Logistics of ARchiTectural ThougHt, each element gains particular relevancy, depending where it falls in the sequence -->>

3. A function.

4. The LANGUAGE of ARchiTectural ThougHt (Traditional word Concept).

One must begin with this process in architecture, before arriving at a form. So we can see FFF is an oversimplification of a much greater hierarchy in architecture. It was merely a reactive cry in history.

Now, we can see from this hierarchy, that Form truly follows function, but it is not a direct link this way. Only in the PROCESS. In the RESULT, form and function are united into one solution and work together. In the logistics of architectural thought, there is a need for separation of elements in order to reach a form. So the simplistic notion form follows function is exactly that. A reactionary simplistic view of a much greater process of architectural thought.

Without this creative intelligent planning, there is no form to any function. Thus, no correspondence between form and function. Thus, the basis of intelligent design has been demonstrated.

Thus, in intelligent design we allow humans and creative intelligence to design our environment and create it's own LANGUAGE of architecture.

In this discussion, the connection between intelligent design and language has been established.

This new language calls for a sensitive knowledge of the design process. It is not a simple "plucking of nice words" from a dictionary that will create the proper directive for a good design. It is an understanding of architecture, of the order of architectural thought, and how to relate the language to the problem at hand in a significant way. Otherwise, mere fancy words joined together will neither create an adequate language of architecture, nor, in the traditional sense, will they create a proper "concept", if that is your view of architecture. In any event, this new language of architecture is not diminished by professors or students who are ill applying fancy words to the design laboratory in such a way that nothing but a combination of fancy words result, with no clear relationship to the design process. This is absurd to even hear that some have attempted to do this.

TOPICAL SUMMARY AND RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SYSTEMS AND IDEAS I HAVE DEVELOPED:

To start, let us illustrate the idea of Concept in Architecture, and how this can be substituted for the new LANGUAGE of architecture.

For example, when we state a concept, in Niemeyer's vision of Brazilia as -->>

To design a city in the shape of a jet, to create an overall integrated pattern, where the infill can be specified to specific wings of zoning areas, and where the image of the progress and advancement of man and technology can be translated to the art and architecture.


Whatever we do, and whatever we say, as long as it is supported by reason, logic and a vocabulary of architectural thought, will be expressing what we are trying to do.

We have elaborated a vocabulary that will guide every design decision. Now, if we simply use the image of a jet airplane, it will not carry the same weight as the VOCABULARY and LANGUAGE we have created, which leads to an infinite world of sculpture as architecture, to a city divided by zones as determined by the shape of the jet.

A concept, on the other hand, could be expressed as the image of the whale. It would remain vague and thus not clear.

If we simply use the image of a WHALE and say, this is my concept. This is not a true expression of the vocabulary of architecture. Now if we say -->>

The idea is to use the shape of a whale to create a place that will convey the feeling of containment in a unique sculptural form and thus enable the users to experience the building in a non traditional shape that evokes feelings of being on the ocean, of floating on the waters. To explore the plastic sculptural possibilities of "X" technology to the extreme, in fulfillment of the program and user needs in terms of volume and space.


So it can be seen the vocabulary of architecture is what should guide our design ideas, our intent, and express in a clear manner an overall architectural vision. It will thus guide every subsequent design decision.

4. The LINGUISTICS of ARchiTectural ThougHt (Traditional word Concept).

5. A form.

The element form will determine how one's concept is embodied into a technique, material. These can be defined by the context, if it so requires, or can be determined as the architect sees best fit. But the materials are not necessarily a part of the LINGUISTICS of architectural thought. They can be included in the statement of intent but most likely will not in most cases, as in the traditional CONCEPT.

Now, one of practical mind would simply think linguistics with no materials does not make sense, but this is seeing it from an artisan point of view, one who is oriented towards the practical side of things, the skills and techniques to use. Architects must keep all this in mind, but this is can be defined all along the way, in the steps above, or determined in the FORM. So these decisions or statements need not necessarily come into the item "concept", or better, LANGUAGE we use to state the intent and directive for our design.

Vocabulary alone does not define the Language of Architecture. The Language can carry and express the content, and the vocabulary expresses the words one chooses which can be related to architectural ideas. You asked what that new Language and Vocabulary should be, and it has been explained in the samples above. It is very simple to refer to our Language and Vocabulary and much more clear and direct then the abstract idea "concept", which has led to great confusion in the field of architecture. All we need to do is create our Language and Vocabulary of architecture and express it. There is no need for all this confusion on "concept". It is very simple, and has been explained above.

CHAOS, ORDER, LANGUAGE AND INTELLIGENT CREATION

There is order in chaos. It is one of replicating patterns, that do not create a design, but rather patterns of repetitive forms, or nice intricate unique unusual patterns that are a result of random combinations rather then a creative language.

Order is not the same as design. It has not intent, no idea, no language.

THE FOUR INGREDIENTS OF LANGUAGE -->>

1. Alphabet,
2. Grammar,
3. Meaning
4. Intent.

In chaos, the four ingredients of language are not present. You only have an order of repeating patterns that keep creating a new order of repeating patterns of chaos, and that is it. There is no alphabet, no grammar, no meaning, no intent.

Now, there is a huge chasm between the world of chaos and the world of design. This can be understood by understanding the structure of DNA, and how this relates to LANGUAGE and also thus how we can create the new language of architecture by studying this model of DNA.

It’s definitely in the second category. Absolutely there is no question about it. So what we have here is that between the world of chaos and patterns and the world of designs and information there is a huge chasm. A huge chasm. The pattern of DNA is not like a language. It is a language. By any formal definition of language it is a language.

Chaos, fractals and natural processes do not produce languages or codes.
Now usually if people try to disagree with this, this is where they try to disagree. I had a guy say “No, DNA isn’t a language or a code, it’s just a molecule.” So I looked up Watson and Crick who discovered DNA, they got the Nobel Prize for it. I surfed the internet and the first thing I found was James Watson’s Nobel prize acceptance speech. And the very first paragraph of his speech talks about the genetic code. Code, language, same thing.

DNA is a language. The DNA molecule itself is an encoding decoding system.

This is the core problem with a naturalistic philosophy of materialistic science: Matter and energy all by themselves cannot produce information.

Norbert Weiner, who is considered the father of cybernetics, was a mathematician at MIT an absolutely brilliant guy and he made this statement.

He said
“Information is information, neither matter nor energy. Any materialism that fails to take account of this will not survive one day.”

Matter, Energy and Information are three Distinct Entities

Information cannot be created without intent. There are no examples of information that is created without intent. You have to have the dimension of intent or will, which is a property of a conscience mind, in order to have any kind information. Otherwise all you have is chaos. All you have is tornadoes and hurricanes and stalactites and stalagmites and snowflakes. But you do not have any kind of language whatsoever.

So the problem with a materialistic philosophy or belief is there is no way to explain where the language of DNA came from. Because all codes, all languages, all encoding, decoding systems come from a mind. No exceptions.

The essential distinction between pattern and design is language
• Fundamental Property of all Designs: Idea precedes Implementation
• Idea must be represented by language
• All language comes from a mind

The essential distinction betweens patterns and designs is language. Patterns don’t have languages, but designs do. So the fundamental property of all designs is that an idea precedes the implementation of the idea.

The idea exists in a symbolic form before it’s physically built. An idea, in order to exist, has to be represented by a language. Even to have an idea in your mind you have to talk to yourself and have images in your mind of what you want to do before you do it. So we know this:

• Ideas always precede implementation, always, no exceptions.
• All languages come from a mind. No exceptions.
• There are no languages that do not come from a mind.
• So we know that DNA was designed.
A mind designed DNA, therefore a need for a religious explanation."

This programming created the framework for intelligent evolution or adaptation of the species. A programed basis for ordered mutations.

The ideas that preceded all language.

The form behind all function.

The reason behind all meaning.

The intelligence before all matter.

The language that creates the energy, that results in the light, the form, the matter, the codes, the genetic engineering, the language that makes up our universe.

Humanistic philosophy and it's influence on architecture.
The need for a new language free of historical chains.

In our ideas of architecture, we frequently do not see how the human oriented philosophies and theories have influenced our design philosophy and ways of viewing architecture.

In the Renaissance view of man, and the human ideal proportions, man and humanism, from that point on, become the governing philosophies guiding design. This lead to the application of humanistic ideas of philosophy and metaphysics to architecture, thus leading to our modern views of man and his relationship to the built environment. Man, seen as a functional machine, and nothing more then that, designs functional buildings that are functionally related to their form.

There is no creative intelligence in creation behind anything in nature, under this humanistic thinking. Man is behind it all and that is it.

Thus there was no more need for contemplation of the sublime, for an understanding of the spiritual values of man and their relationship to the built environment. Man, thus, becomes disconnected with the arts of the Ages, including Eastern philosophy and it's implications on architecture. A huge chasm is developed between the East and the West. This chasm continues until today, due to this humanizing force of the industrial revolution.

Now even Leornardo studied paiting, architecture, technology, science, human anatomy, and many other things, so why can't we as architects, artists, scientists, among other things?

Metaphysics in Architecture

Now, why is metaphysics even debated in architecture, as has been done in this topic on concept in architecture? One cannot have a philosophy of architecture, without this debate, so it seams. So metaphysics, philosophy, scientific theory, evolutionary theory, creationism, foundational structures, alternate energy sources, language of architecture, and a multitude of ideas that are being debated in the framework of concept, of form following function, are all thus relevant discussions, as they shape our architectural theory, to various extents. So our architecture gains a greater relevance to our deeper views on these issues.

Thus metaphysics and philosophy are related to architecture, and this why we are spending so much time developing a discussion on the idea "concept" in architecture. Thus, religion, metaphysics, philosophy, scientific theory are all in a sense related at some point, especially when it comes to defining the origin of man and his relationship to the environment and world we live in, and thus the architecture we produce.

HOW WE SUBSTITUTE THE TERM "CONCEPT" FOR THE NEW LANGUAGE OF ARCHITECTURE

It can be said "concept" is like the children learning to ride a bicycle. They need it to understand the design process. Once they have learned to ride, they no longer need this and can ride simply with the NEW LANGUAGE OF ARCHITECTURE and by understanding the Logistics of Architectural Thought and the process of designing. Thus, simply by elaborating the proper language, this serves as the directive to the design process. Do you wish to remain as children dependent on the wheels?

Language, The Core of Sensible Imagination

The Linguistics of architectural thought.

Language is at the core of sensible imagination. If we can create a code of language, we in essence can create a world. Take the example of a writer of the series of fantasy stories. He creates a new language, a new code and thus creates a universe of thought that leads to concrete form.

If we brake this down into it's relationship to science, we end up with -->>

1. Pre-existing eternal mystery, ultimate sublime pre-existing thought, the order of the universe, the pre-existing eternal force. This is contained in an intelligent spiritual being. This leads to -->>

2. Reason, thought, logic. This logic creates "LANGUAGE"

3. LANGUAGE gives birth to energy, which gives birth to encoding of energy into FORM.

4. This form produces a substance of a SHAPE.

5. This shape can be described as a language of codes that gave birth to this shape.

So all the other elements fall somewhere in the spectrum.

We have all the building blocks in the universe.

An intelligent being - related to THOUGHT, LANGUAGE, ENERGY, FORM

Thought - gives birth to LANGUAGE. Language creates energy -->>

Energy - the building block of time and matter.

Time - a equation of the motion of energy.

We can see light is actually a form of energy.

So if we have E=MC2

Energy equals Mass times the speed of light square.

We are in essence saying energy equals mass times the time it takes energy to transverse space, which is the building block of mass.

It would be better to say

Energy = Mass x the time it takes for energy to transverse the space between the eternal and the spatial limitation of it's containment.

E = M(TimeofTransversalOverContainedSpace).

or

E = M (T of transversal of the energy over the limited space)

Thus, when we release atomic energy, our energy will be a function of the limited mass in relation to the time of transversal of this mass over space until it transforms itself completely into energy).

Thus, energy is in a sense eternal if mass is present in some form.

Without energy we do not have time.

Time is due to the movement of energy in space.

So in essence we have

Time = energy times speed of the speed of light divided by the Mass of the Universe

T = Ex(C/M)

Or, the speed of light distributed over the mass of the universe produces time.

So, from this, we have -->>

We know the speed of light is almost infinite. Mass is finite. Energy is finite. So in this equation, only time is infinite, as long as mass and energy are present. When mass and energy cease, time would cease. But in reality, energy never ceases, so therefore time never ceases. It only re-constitutes itself into matter. Thus, we have found a relationship between time, energy and God. All these 3 seem eternal. God is before time, he is before energy, he is eternal and gave birth to energy and time, under this model.

So we can see if we have Time, combined with Energy, we have an almost infinite speed in which this energy can transpose itself over the mass that contains it.

Time is possible by this movement of energy.

So we must create a new formula -->>

Reformulated, we have

In this formulation, time is an almost infinitely large number. It is a universal constant. It is a measure of the rate engergy released from a mass transposes or distributes itself over space when the mass reaches the velocity of light.

It can be expressed as T = EC/M
The greater the Mass, the greater the energy released. The division of Energy to mass will always produce a constant value, as energy or mass moves at the speed of light.

Thus, if we can change the energy state of a mass, we can alter the universal constant of time! Voyla !

Thus a temporal distortion of time can be created by changing the energy state of matter or by changing the mass as contained in a fix energy body. So if we can keep the energy in the body constant and change is mass, we can alter time or the perception of time. If we alter this value T for a universal constant U, we end up with -->>>

C = Speed of light
M = Mass

In this equation, energy is equal to Time( almost unlimited) divided by the speed of light(almost unlimited), distributed over a mass.

If we have two infinite numbers divided by each other, the greater infinite number will win.

All these elements in the equation must either be finite, or some are infinite.

We cannot say time is unlimited, as it is related to energy being distributed over mass. But it can be a universal constant of nearly unlimited value.

Mass and energy are not unlimited. Only the creative force is unlimited.

So in essence, which is greater in infinite value, time or the speed of light ?

At first glance, we cannot know. Time could be greater. If time is greater then the speed of light distributed over a mass, then we can see we have energy not simply canceling two elements in the equation. We can see that if time and the speed of light were equal, they would cancel themselves. But if we have time being a greater value then the speed of light, then we have as a result, an incredible amount of Energy being released when we allow an a limited mass, to transpose itself over time within the speed of light. In essence, when mass reaches the speed of light, it des-integrates into energy. This proves the equation, as we have in effect 1 = 1 on both sides !

This equation goes to show, further, that the mass in the universe is infinitely small in relation to the energy and time it contains ! We can brake the formula apart and end up with

We know the element Time is infinite. So if we divide a limited number, the SPEED of light by TIME times the ENERGY of the universe, we end up with a very small number ! Thus most of the universe is made up of MUCH energy and LITTLE Mass !

We know this to be the case, as the majority of the atom is energy and not mass. Mass in essence is only a materialization of energy in predictable, concentrated pockets of energy in space that are in movement and thus create a framework for time. This energy exist from the atomic level up in cycles of movement. These cycles of movement generate a stable pocket of energy. To release energy in matter, one must disrupt the pocket of energy in movement, held together by gluons. The gluon force is so incredibly strong, that only extreme atomic dis-stabilization can disrupt the balance of the pockets of energy.

Thus, we could say energy, when slowed down into cycles, produces time and matter !

We thus have the new building blocks and formula for the constitution of the universe ! So E=MC2 cannot be taken as an inflexible rule.

We have, in essence, re-discovered the codes of the universe.

A New Language of ID

On the New Timeless Way of Architecture in the Context of a new LANGUAGE OF ID

In architecture, we are only concerned with time as it relates to our temporal experience.

Time in architecture must be perceived within a larger framework as dictated by our perceptions, conditioning and emotional response. Thus, when we begin to understand the nature of the universe and the inter-working of how we perceive the reality around us, we begin to realize that all is connected.

ID is behind all notions of energy, of time and our perception of reality around us with respect to the encoding of information.

A mechanized system will have much difficulty in implementing many abstract issues into an architectural vocabulary. In design, we at times must evoke feelings and design ideas that are more connected to the local context in which we operate, or at the time during which the creations were elaborated.

The same applies to the reality we project into the future.

Thus, a completely AI system will have difficulty replicating metaphysical issues, a sense of connection with the client, of "feeling what the client feels", of using our intuition and of convening a sense of place in the architectural context.

Our new Language must be therefore more connected to a greater intuitive sense then a simple Idea can convey. Thus, much care is needed in assembling this language.

Sitting On Top of the World

Goal:

To build the world's largest structure ever built, that is economical, strong and will allow man to reach space for the lowest cost possible.

Attached is an image of the new pyramid structure.

The Size

It will be approximately 120 km wide by 140 km high.

It will reach from the earth into space.

The Purpose

To provide a global bridge to space.

The Foundation

It will be built on a base of solid stone.

The Exterior Membrane

The exterior membrane will consist of a simple affordable membrane system as follows -->>

The A core of earth and sand infill. Over this,

1. A vapor and water containment barrier of Interior multiple sheets of plastic over the interior core, to protect it from humidity and from leaking out of the interior core.

2. Next, an internal perimeter wall 200 Meters wide of plastic stones and bricks, filled with earth and sand.

3. The outer layer, an inclined stone wall 10 Meters thick.

The Interior Core

The interior core maintains concrete tube tunnels, that will house cities, shopping areas, mechanical equipment and wind tunnels to capture the energy and use it in the structure. Within the core are vertical elevators, ventilation shafts, water and support systems. If fire reaches one chamber, it will be dampered and isolated from the other chambers.

On the exterior will be mounted giant catapults that will launch the space vehicles into space without using fuel for the launch. They will be literally giant run-ways. There will be a long track. It will work on a tension system. The entire system is pulled into tension upon launch. The trigger is released gradually, with increasing pressure as the speed increases. This will catapult the space vehicles into space with no fuel used. The energy for the tension mechanism will be extracted from wind and solar panels mounted on the sides of the pyramid, and the wind channels in the core.

As stated, the interior core will be simply filled with earth and sand.

It will employ the latest in wind and solar energy collectors.

The Functions

Multiple Interior cities, global access portal, natural green energy plant.

The Scope

Global in scale. A free open project which will allow thousands of companies and individuals to participate.

Who Will Pay For It

The public, those who participate, the governments, the funding companies, the world.

In essence, we are attempting to do what one of the greatest, most powerful civilizations of all time attempted to do thousands of years ago and failed. This is no small challenge, even with today's technology. Especially considering the fact that to even construct the pyramids of Egypt with today's technology is no small feat. Until today, we still don't know for sure how the Egyptians built the pyramids.

Before embarking on a final solution, we were forced to understand some of the initial questions and technical difficulties:

1. Getting building approvals.
2. How this will interfere with man-made flying objects.
3. How to make the structure stable with economical materials.
4. How to build it in a reasonable amount of time, in a way that can be actually managed and budgeted in a way that makes sense.
5. How to get the cooperation and companies involved to build it.
6. In essence, an actual working design.

THE GLOBAL PYRAMID

How To Build This

-As much as possible, we will use all natural materials available in the local area.

-We will first of all place the foundation of stones.

-We start building the side walls which will house the infill of earth and sand.

-As we proceed up, giant vacuum shoots will suck the materials up into the land fill areas inside the structure.

-This process will be continued all the way up.

-Where there are interior spaces, these will be made with concrete tunnels. These tunnels can be transformed either into wind tunnels or into occupied spaces.

-The structure will proceed to the highest altitudes, where workers will wear pressurized suits and equipment.

Where Will We Build This?

Possible places are the Arab Emirates, Egypt, Arizona, Africa or other desert locations with plenty of sand, silty soil and native stones and rocks. Certainly it cannot be placed on a small land mass with much drift, or an entire area could sink with the weight of the structure.

How much will it cost to build?

Total cost aprox. 140 -168 billion = that is 14 to 16.8 billion a year for 10 years. By selling stock, with 23 million people investing, that is only US$50-60 per month per person. Over 10 years, they invest only US$6000 to $7200 and when completed, their stock will be worth hundreds of thousands or even millions. How many people do you think will want to own a share of this pie? Their money invested will multiply thousands of times over.

Why 140 Km?

"The lower region of the thermosphere, from approximately 130 to 180 km, has been very difficult to explore. Satellites cannot orbit in this region because they would rapidly fall from orbit and burn up from atmospheric friction. Balloons cannot reach this altitude, and sounding rockets pass through the region too quickly to obtain more than a quick vertical profile of a particular spot."

The Global Pyramid

Foundations

1. For this type of structure, the foundations are completely different from any other structure known.

2. There will be a perimeter belt foundation only. It will only support the exterior walls.

3. The interior infill of sand and earth will need not a foundation. As the landfill proceeds up vertically, the upper crust of the earth is compressed down to the bedrock level. As it proceeds up, this shifting and settlement is filled in with further sand and earth, sucked up by the pressure differentials and dispensed in place in the landfill areas.

5. Much of the weight of the walls also is taken by the earth landfill and not only by the perimeter foundations. The foundations, thus, are not a problem.

Costs Compared to Nasa Projects

Now, the costs of NASA projects are tiny in comparison.

But also, their cost very high compared to the amount of equipment and technology they employ.

This project is based on using much free material, earth and sand, at nil cost of materials. The greatest cost is thus placing it into position.

A Project Global in Scàle


It is a global project and will take time for big players to embrace, and will be only possible by following a careful sequence of planning and setting up the stock.

Now, once the structure is completed, and the elevators are in place, this will allow individual companies to construct the interior shopping areas, the interior cities and other services needed. So it is multi-stage.

PHASE I

The construction of the basic shell and structure.

A. Foundation for exterior walls. Only the exterior walls will need a foundation. And as explained above, much of the weight of the exterior walls is distributed over the landfill, which carries the weight. Further, the walls all rest on each other as they go up, so they are supported in four directions and distribute their loads among themselves as they touch at the corners, and transfer this weight down to the landfill, rather then to the foundations.

B. Interior core needs no foundation. It is only an infill of sand and earth, over the earth surface. As the pressures on the soil below increase, it is compacted down, and the earth and sand above shift to the new position as the earth is compressed down to the rock layers.

C. The exterior walls are erected with workers using the special equipment and also with robotics and equipment.

D. The interior core service area is laid into place. As the landfill rises, this is laid into place and the concrete tubes needed to enclose these shafts are lifted/hoisted into place and set over each other into position. As each level progresses, the infil is spread around the lower regions.

E. The inner half moon concrete structures are hoisted into place and the infill proceeds up and over these.

F. The entire process continues until the last 10 kilometers, where there will be the final glass enclosed structure.

As the structure rises, it decreases in size and the walls also decrease in thickness.

PHASE II

Construction of the inner cities, the exterior cantilever area, addition of services, of mechanical equipment and thousands of amenities.

This, the basic layout of the construction phases.

-Now, we know that at 140 km, there is no air, and slight gravity.

-Below 100 km, there are high altitude winds and systems of storms that flush across the surface of the planet, so those regions are less hospitable.

-Now, from the graph I posted, you will notice the zones that have the best air temperatures. 140 km has the best climate and is free from these storms. It is, so to speak, a zone of atmospheric calm above the tempest below.

-So at that height we have the need for mechanical systems of environmental control and maintaining people within interior pressurized areas.

-Now, building it can be done. The structure becomes less massive as the altitude increases, as it is a pyramid structure. All the workers will need to use special equipment at that height as well, to assemble the structure.

Further relevant issues -->>>

-Mass production brings down the cost, as a rule.

-The special equipment needed can be produced and tailored to the individual project, and it's mass production reduces it's cost.

-Much work can be done also by robots, and much of the work is in placing the major elements of the exterior walls, and then the inner shaft, the inner half concrete rings, the ventilation systems... in regions and times where the temperatures permit these activities.

-Also, the structure need not be the same consistent system as it increases in height.... as the atmosphere becomes more rare, less stone can be used and the walls not as thick... and alternate lighter materials can be used as well...

-The icing of equipment can be a problem as well, certainly. This calls for careful planning of the stages, hours and seasons of operation. We currently have equipment and technology that can operate in sub zero conditions, and the Naza equipment is an example. Polar regions also employ this equipment and technology.

The development of a Thermal Control System becomes necessary -->>

Thermal Control System

-There are certainly areas in the globe also where that graph, that I posted on the temperature regions, varies. Thus, the temperature extremes are not as high in some areas as compared to other physical locations. Thus, we need to find the optimal global point where the atmospheric conditions are favorable. That graph thus does not represent all global positions and the atmospheric conditions at every global point. When we find this ideal point, it may probably be located above a desert area. At those points the ground temperature reaches the highest levels and during these times of the day the upper atmospheric conditions are different from the other areas or other times of the day.

-About the fortunes needed, could not the same be said of Nasa space programs, wars, and other ventures man has been engaged in?

STAGE I

Laboratory on Mount Everest

Everest Lift

We will build a laboratory on Mount Everest, to conduct experiments at high altitudes with our equipment, our new space suits and our workers needed to construct the pyramid. This will be the first stage, in preparation for the next stage of the project.

Placement of Rig -->>

1. Lift one end of the gable to the top by hoisting the end to the top.

2. Carry the other end to the ground platform.

3. Place the balloons in place and fill them with helium.

4. Pull the cable tight into position.

5. The cable now serves as a belt to carry sequences of small quantities of materials and people to the top, to conduct the work. The workers work with Oxygen masks in intervals and switch shifts among them.

This will allow for the construction this structure on top of Mount Everest, in preparation for the next stages.

Small quantities of materials proceeding up in a long sequence of time means a large volume of materials will reach the top very quickly.

The project will be done economically and the balloons re-used in the next stages of the project.

The balloons will be maintained in the air fully loaded with helium during work hours, and during other hours, they can be allowed to hang on the cables.

The balloons provide additional vertical support to the cables, allowing them greater capacity to transmit the loads to the other end and top of Everest. (Or another high peak we may choose).

Now we have a new project as Stage I in the construction of the pyramid, so we can prepare for the next stage.

Vertical Farming - Skyscraper Farms to Combat Global Warming

Dr. Dickson Despommier, Columbia University professor of environmental sciences and microbiology, proposes that building crop farms on top of urban skyscrapers could provide food in land deficient populations and protect the environment. In a recent New York Magazine article, Despommier explains how 150 vertical farms could feed the entire population of New York City.

Sky farms are like huge greenhouses, protecting crops and from foul weather and contaminated runoff. Dr. Despommier even predicts a reduction in global warming because overfarmed land could be re-forested.

Because a skyscraper farm is a big-ticket item, such an idea is still five to ten years out. With populations shifting from rural communities to big cities, Dr. Despommier just might be on to something.
Despommier began developing the vertical-farming concept six years ago (his research can be found at verticalfarm .com), and he has been contacted by scientists and venture capitalists from the Netherlands to Dubai who are interested in establishing a Center for Urban Sustainable Agriculture, either independently or within Columbia. He estimates it could take a working group of agricultural economists, architects, engineers, agronomists, and urban planners five to ten years to figure out how to marry high-tech agricultural practices with the latest sustainable building technology. The Gateway to the Sky

THE GATEWAY TO THE SKY

We have developed a proprietary design to solve a challenge and allow every man to access the sky, at an affordable cost.

The Gateway to the Sky

It will enable the cities in the sky of the future. It is a future transportation system. It is a Gateway to the Sky.

It will enable us to study new structural support systems in space, and means to design structures and buildings in space using the momentum of bodies of mass in motion to support structures in space.

This new Gateway is a heavenly multi-colored brilliant structure suspended in the air.

It will be the new portal for humanity to enter space on a daily basis.

We will be able to carry our cargo, the soil and seeds to grow in distant space colonies and will enable us to substitute the space shuttle.

It will be much more economical for NASA to develop, will not require massive amounts of fuel to thrust steel into space, and is a more sensible, more economically viable and easily attainable way for every man to access space. It can be produced on a mass industrial scale, allowing for various "Gateways to the Sky" in multiple countries around the world. It will occupy a small area of actual physical soil, and will not require complex building permits to be erected into space. It will allow for the new cities in space.

It will be supported by a global ring, and will also be created by a series of interconnected arch shapes,with these being supported also by the central shaft, ring and secondary balloons. There will be a central vertical shaft supported by global ring. The balloons will be re-filled with central helium producing machines at various levels. This helium will eventually be substituted for new advanced gases that are non combustible.

The central shaft will be fixed at the ground and go vertically up. The lateral access shoots will follow the path of an arch, with intersecting arches as described further below.

The lateral arched access portals will remain in place. They will provide access to outer space. The central shaft is connected to the ground and to the celestial earth ring.

The central shafts will make use of pressure differentials to pull the elevators up to the top. This pressure differential can also be used at the top, as a propulsion system. The pressure can be sucked up to the top from the bottom. When reaching the top in compression chambers, it generates the thrust for propulsion. This thrust can also be complemented with small jet engines, that power the horizontal transportation systems that will be interconnected out in space.

They will be so to speak floating suspended cities that support the access tower. They will be lighter in weight, and will be placed in space in seasons of low storm activity in areas such as Arizona. They can be maintained in the air for prolonged periods of time, in desert areas, during very stable seasons with no storms.

People will always be able to ascend or descent from the cities in the sky, as there will be multiple access portals in different locations, that are interconnected.

They will glow in the dark also to avoid collisions of airplanes. They will be made also of synthetic plastic type components and the entire structure will be cheaper and quicker to produce.

The central access will be for heavy loads and the arch multi-colored access gates will be for human access, by the means of light-weight cable hoisted elevators. The arch structures will be made of synthetic materials and be light in weight. They will be rectangular in section.

The entire arch structures are allowed to be flexible, so they can oscillate in the winds as needed, and the balloons can also oscillate in position and height, to allow for movement of the arches.

The central tower will be fixed on the ground and fixed at the top, connected to the space rings. The tops of the arches will be fixed also, so the arch structures can sway in the middle sections. but are fixed on the ground and at the top, allowing people to enter and exit at fixed points.

THE ARCH AS THE OPTIMAL STRUCTURAL FORM for the new Gateway to the Sky!

Now we can see the arch shape will be an optimal design, as the arch can be maintained stable when suspended, without horizontal movement. So we can create portals that have two ends on the ground and at the top of the arch meet at the docking stations. By intersection two arches at 90 degrees, we will get a more stable structure that will not balance in the wind, and multiple access points.

The arches will be supported by the balloons distributed along the path. The central elevator will be supported by a global ring, to be constructed of multiple steel cables. The global ring will function as a structural support for the high speed horizontal transportation system in space. The ring will be supported by the orbit of the large satellite bodies, attached to the central ring with cables at intervals as illustrated. These can be large heavy satellite or communications equipment in some positions, and some of the globes can be liquid. Thus, orbiting bodies can be substituted for large globes of water. The water can be produced in space, by elevating materials into space to fabricate the water. The large orbiting satellite bodies will be all attached to the ring, and be on sliding cables. The eccentric momentum produced by their bodies will hold the ring in space. They will be moving at a good speed, perhaps 80-100 KM/Hr in relation to the rings. This will enable the ring to float in space to carry heavy loads and vertically hoist objects into space. The rings can fluctuate some in vertical position, depending on the load. The loads will be equal and distributed at opposite ends of the ring, in a way to maintain the rings in a stable position. The rings can be made with multiple rows of high strength steel cables. They can be reinforced in sections, to allow the introductions of space structures in zones. The horizontal rings will harbor cities, with chambers divided into sections, so that if a section is taken out by a natural disaster, the chamber can be replaced. The rings will be double or triple, in the event one ring is removed, the other will still support the entire structure. The rings will be separated by a distance greater then the largest heavenly earth bound object, providing double security in the event of a collision with a meteor. There are more orbiting large mass bodies then needed to support the weight, so if some orbiting bodies or one of the rings is removed by an accident, the other multiple rings and orbiting bodies will guarantee the stability of the structure. The space between the rings will be enclosed by plastic materials in chambers filled with oxygen. These chambers can be replaced as needed. The horizontal transportation system will travel along these rings as well. The rings will remain in space permanently and can be maintained when needed. The orbiting objects will be placed in space with small rockets that maintain vertical and horizontal thrusters. The orbits of the large bodies will be used to generate all the electricity needed for the space stations and transportation system, as well as the vertical hoist systems and all the support equipment.

The balloons will be able to access high altitudes, but some distance missing from the space ring. So the central shaft will hoist people and equipment the remaining distance between the highest altitude the balloons reach, and the space ring, which remains in space year round.

The balloons will also be used to maintain and repair both the central shaft and the arched shoots, when needed. They will be also used to remove people from the shoots, in the event of emergencies. They will carry the people over to the central shoot, where they can be quickly lifted or brought back down to earth.

Space craft can also carry people to other earth locations and between the access portals.

By horizontally connecting these access points, we have a new terrestrial mass transportation system ! People will be able to travel fast, cheaply and reach for the stars!

The docking stations will be connected to space labs, to further space located docking stations, and these will enable multiple exchange routes. Information will flow through space with our new data transmission system. The docking stations will harbor small shops, small laboratories and and act as re-supply stations.

This central shaft will also continue out into space and connect with space stations. It will carry passengers at high speed out into space to reach space stations and areas that are adequately climate controlled. It will be, so to speak, a high speed shoot or a celestial umbilical cord. These umbilical cords and vertical stations will be connected to space stations, and these in turn, will be connected to other vertical access shafts, and allow people to travel horizontally at high speeds, between the access shafts, in the same type of "umbilical cords", except these will be horizontal and follow a curvilinear path in-line with the curvature of the earth. There can be light-weight plastic component seats inside the horizontal shoots, and can also have enclosed capsules, with all the comfort of travel. The shoots can be vacuums, to create no air resistance. They can be divided into chambers. They can exist inside larger shoots, that have air in them. This way, if a passenger needs to stop, the zone he is in can be isolated, filled with air, and he can await in the parallel chambers, until he proceeds in his journey. There can be rest stops along the way, along the horizontal travel chambers in space. These will allow people to travel at very high speeds, to reach other earth coordinates and other space stations, and then either proceed to space, or return to earth at other global locations.

This project is technically feasible, economically viable, and will be realized in a VERY SHORT TIME at a fraction of the cost of an actual tower. (By the way, our project Liquid Universe is not about asking for money).

Just imagine these colossal vertical access systems existing all over the globe. They would will be seen for thousands of miles and will be the biggest outdoor banner ever seen on planet earth. They will be multi-colored and provide millions with fantastic light and laser shows. They will be used to promote a hundred thousand dreams.

Those who join in this global effort and work together, with our support, will be the new billionaires of the future. This is no small joke.

This gateway to the sky will become real and it will enable man to explore space in a way never before possible. It will enable multiple space stations at intervals, so man can travel large distances in space through the "umbilical cords". It will allow for docking stations, where the space-ships carry people around and back to the central areas to return to earth.

They carry the power to make the space shuttle obsolete ! Put a big X across the image of the space shuttle then if you wish.

The spaceships will make use of the magnetic system to bounce themselves around planets and gain speed as they travel to remote locations, riding on the waves of magnetic propulsion and the synergy developed by bouncing off larger bodies, using the gravitational field to accelerate and then shift their course into the galaxy.

Their internal engines, by making use of gravitational cancellation possible by the intense magnetic field, will be able to levitate and invert their internal fields at will, to flow on the waves of gravitational attraction and bounce off the positive and negative poles of planets, to follow their sinuous path over the surface of bodies. They distort our compasses and antiquated equipments by their strong magnetic field. This alien technology is actually within the reach of mankind. At first glance, I believed they were copying our idea. But how could they copy my idea so fast, I thought, if I just posted it yesterday? In reality, their idea is almost the same as mine. Many aspects of the technology are the same. Many ingredients are missing, however. There is one major difference also. Their system is held by being connected to the ground. Mine is not. Their system will not be able to lift heavy weights as easily and could fall to the earth. My system is able to lift very large weights from space, with no support from the ground !

2. Will function as a global communication system. All the satellites can be receiving and sending simultaneous data to each other, and to the earth.
3. Functions as the new internet information channel and information sending platform. The information can be sent down to the earth using our new proprietary technology that does not depend on satellites and does not depend on the internet as we know it. It will function based on the new internet and operating with the new computer systems we have developed.
4. Functions as a global transportation system to multiple earth points.
5. Functions as a continuous space station.

It is curious, though, to see a big team of inventors for years working on something I created in a few minutes, with no knowledge of their ideas. They are a group of 4 companies, who are together working for years to develop ideas I come up with in a few minutes and developed in an hour or just a few hours, to do the diagrams etc.

With our system, nothing will fall to earth, even if the weight of the cargo exceeds the centrifugal balance. This, because, my system is allowed to sway some in space. We don't need satellites.

We can use it as a platform for solar collectors. We can then use all the energy collected to supply the space city. The energy collected from the momentum of the large orbiting bodies can also be collected. We have established that to maintain large bodies in motion we will expend less energy then is produced by the synergy of their rotation. This can be understood in the example of a bicycle, where the pressure applied to a smaller internal ring, in a sense, creates a speed and force stronger then that originally applied. Or for example, to get a or airplane car moving requires greater energy then to keep it moving at a constant speed. So we can maintain them in rotation with small rockets that will use less energy then the use of the magnetic energy that can be extracted from their movement along the tracks.

Further, we can also create space based generators using this technology. These can be floating in space.

Further, we can create floating cities that rotate as well and generate their own energy in so doing. These cities can be as the rims of the motorcycle wheels. The architecture will thus be in the ring format. Further, we can also produce multiple rings that are connected and rotate around larger rings. The synergy of the movement of rings within rings will produce an even greater amount of energy. This is the energy that is produced to keep the planets in their orbit, so this technology has a tremendous energy application.

We wish also to engage people here to propose the architecture of the future, and work in a global sense together, bringing the greatest architectural minds together to develop this.

Fuller Ring Bridge
A structure suggested by BuckminsterFuller in 1951, consisting of an artificial ring built in space above the earth's equator. This could be done to connect the a bunch of SpaceElevators.

Not the same as RingWorld, which is a ring surrounding a star and is thus much larger.

This would obviously only be useful to connect SpaceElevators if it were rotating geosynchronously.... which goes without saying.

The structure would have minimum stress if attached to the SpaceElevators exactly at the altitude of geosynchronous satellites, roughly 1/3 of the way up. But perhaps other locations closer to or further from the earth might be possible.

What's the purpose of this structure?

Speculation: In theory, it takes less energy to ride the elevator up to the bridge, take the moving sidewalk over to the next elevator, then take the elevator down, than it does to fly directly in an airplane.

We already have hundreds of tons of communication satellites in geosynchronous orbit, and "we" put more up every year. If we keep putting more and more stuff into that narrow band, eventually it will become packed solid. Voila, the FullerRingBridge. No SpaceElevator necessary.

Although that would definitely be one of the more expensive ways of going about building one

And once you connected them together the resulting structure would become unstable, start oscillating, touch the atmosphere and disintegrate (if it hadn't through tidal stresses already). Maybe the space elevators would anchor it? Solid rings rotating around large gravitational fields don't work. -- TomAyerst (oops, that's already been covered in RingWorld)

This is pure speculation, but would it be more stable if you put it just above geosynch orbit, so there's a constant, slight (or not-so-slight) pull outwards by centripetal force? Or, for that matter, put the structure just below geosynch orbit and let gravity bow it inwards, creating the world's biggest suspension bridge using the space elevators as the pylons. Oh, and here's an interesting issue... how would the Moon's tidal forces affect such a structure?

Once you got the bridge done, you won't need anymore geosync satellites, you can just mount another antenna anywhere on the bridge! As long as their separation is wide enough for the ground station to resolve.


What the author suggested, thus has not been fully postulated into a working system, until now. We are here to prove it can be done!

These guys are trying to create a ring by connecting satellites, but can't decide where to place the ring ! The ring can be exactly where it needs to be ! All we need are the counter-weights, placed just above the geosynch orbit, as we already proposed, and Vola!

I just found these posts above NOW ! So this proves further it has not been done, and that the proposal is grounded on some of the most incredible physics and theoreticians in existence, without any of them being consulted. I had no knowledge of Fuller's proposals or these sites above, until now.

Further developments on the Gateway to the Sky

The Rings

Three parallel connected rings that have multiple springs in the core encased in metal sliding chambers. The chambers can elongate or become shorter in length, according to the pressure applied to the rings. The rings will be further encased in inter-connected spheres of hard rubber type synthetic compounds. The interior of these spheres will contain axial spoke structural supports, that function as types of shock absorbers. These interconnected spheres will function as the external membrane to the inner core of rings. This external link of spheres will create a global chain. It will protect the inner rings from meteor damage.

The interior rings are able to elongate or shorten, as the inner core springs slide on tracks. According to the geo-distributed weights applied to the rings, they will thus change their vertical position and either grow or shorten in total circumference. This will allow them to shift some vertically as needed. As they shift their altitude position, the rotating connected spheres in orbit will also flow on a compressed path, thus accelerating somewhat in their spin. As the ring is de-compressed, under conditions of low cargo, the orbiting spheres will follow a wider path.

The main purpose of this composition is to create less tension in the high strength nano fibers that will compose the geo rings. The geo rings can be loaded to maximum capacity without over-stressing the rings by the composite of the orbiting eccentric forces and the loads of cargo being hoisted to space.

Further, the baloons and arched gateways will carry the majority of the people/human loads in small amounts, and in sequences 24 hours a day, thus reducing the load also on the geo spheres to only cargo. The weight on the geo rings is further reduced by using our technology we have created here, to use the atmospheric pressure differentials to hoist objects into space.


FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS ON THE ARCHED ACCESS GATES


PROJECT LIQUID UNIVERSE GATEWAY TO THE SKY

-The ring system floats independently of the vertical access arches, and does not depend on them to maintain itself in space. They are two separate elements in the system.

-The arched portals make use of the atmospheric pressure differentials to suspend weights in space. They maintain inner chambers that have three galleries plus a full length lateral chamber as follows -->>

1. The lower gallery at the ground at atmospheric pressure. This lower gallery is allowed to expand in length all the way up to the top of the arches.
2. The middle gallery a decompression chamber. This will be the human elevator car.
3. The upper gallery a vacuum chamber. This vacuum is maintained in the upper portion all the way up.
4. Lateral chambers. These run from the ground all the way up and operate at ground pressure. They are used as regulatory valves and to re-fill the upper chambers with pressure.

Take for example, a barometer filled with mercury as an example, or take for example an inverted model of water pressure. The high pressure at the top where the water is pushes the water down at the bottom up to the same height. So using this same principle, the greater atmospheric pressure differentials between the ground points at the stratospheric points can be used to hoist weights vertically, if we maintain this ground pressure stable in the lower chambers all the way up.

The atmospheric pressure differentials between the ground pressure and upper stratosphere pressure will be placed in the lower and the upper chambers to pull the weight up vertically with no need for a heavy lift. Further, the pressure differential will maintain the lower part in compression and maintain the shape of the arch, as the elevator moves up, being lifted and carried by the pressure differentials, thus not exerting substantial weight on the arch. Any spill-over of weight is picked up by the baloons. The portions of the arch above the elevator do not have any weight in them until an elevator reaches their path. So the arches themselves need not support a large amount of weight. They carry only the people also. The elevating chambers in the arches are sucked up vertically by the vacuum and pressure diferentials. So the balloons merely hold the arches in place and carry small amounts of weight. At the points lower to the ground, where more vertical thrust is needed, the pressure differential is the greatest. At this point the arch is vertical in position, so people move up vertically within the pressure diferential chambers. As the people and objects move up the arches, the pressure differentials decrease, but so does the force of gravity, as they begin to exit the atmosphere. As the people reach the nearly horizontal portions of the arch, the atmospheric pressure up there will be low and also the gravity will be low. But the lower atmospheric pressure is maintained in the lower chamber, which now expands all the way up to the top behind the elevator cars, also expanding the lower arch into its full shape.

Since the sequence of three internal chambers will be able to carry only one elevator from ground all the way up, each arch maintains various parallel chambers to allow more then one vertical elevator access path in each arch. The elevators and the arches will be made with low weight expandable synthetic materials that are able to withsdant great pressures. This allows the entire arches and interior elevating chambers to be very light in weight.

As people ascend, they will be given oxygen masks and also parachutes, as security measures. Once the people reach the space ring, they can remove the equipment and parachutes. The interior elevators will also be connected to cables which go from the ground all the way up, to hold the elevator cabins in place should the entire arch collapse for some reason. These cables will also help hoist the elevators up within the arches, in situations where the pressure differentials are reduced, and to complement the pressure differential lifting force with a mechanical force as well. These cables will be attached to the balloons and to the upper global ring as well.

The central shaft connected to the rings will elevate the heavier cargo. The central shaft will use a combination of a vertical lift attached to the cable and the global ring at the top, and also the same atmospheric pressure differential chambers, which will suck the loads up vertically as well as being hoisted at the same time. This reduces the load on the global rings and the vertical hoisting cable substantially. The load will be shared by the space hoist connected to the global rings, and the pressure differential chambers.

Further, the arched access portals are connected at the top to the rings also, so are suspended at that point, and also along their path, by the balloons. The balloons are only needed to maintain the arched curvature to the shapes when the arches are empty and to hold them further in place. Further, the intersecting arches meet at the central shaft and this also provides further support, preventing the upper portion of the arch structure from swaying in the heaviest higher altitude winds. The middle and lower portions will not sway, as they will be filled with pressurized air while the elevator is ascending. The arches are allowed to bend and sway some in the heavy winds above. This will not interfere with their operation. Further, when the wind forces are too strong, the arches can be compressed in length by " reeling them in" from the central shaft and then become more like straight lines, and the ascent becomes an inclined 60 degree angle, aproximately. The arches will be made with cables attached to springs as well, and they can elongate or expand into the full arch shapes as needed, and this provides them with maleability to resist the wind forces.

As shown, the expansion pressure caused by the atmospheric differential also expands the arches and maintains them suspended. Especially since the weights are being pushed up by the pressure differentials and not by being fully held by the arches. So on deployment, the entire arches can be elevated by the multiple balloons, and extended up into the skies, and as they are extended, they fill will pressured air, which is sucked up into the arches and extends then to their full height. Once they are hooked to the central shaft, the lower chamber is isolated and the pressure released from the remaining portions of the arch above, awaiting passengers. Passengers enter the compression chambers and these are released and pushed up vertically into the vacuum above within the arches. After the elevator car is evacuated, the sequence is repeated and the arch begins to operate taking groups of people up into the global ring. When the air is removed from the upper arch portions, the arches will be sucked into a tight closed position. As the compression chambers are pushed up, the arch left behind is filled with compressed air and the closed arches in the front of the elevator cars is pushed open to give path to the ascending elevators.

Groups of people will be accessing the arches with large distances in between each person going up, so the baloons need only to hold a few people each at a time within the arches. When there are no people in the arches, the baloons will be merely holding the arches in place. The arches can be filled with air at times when they are not in use, and this pressurized air will maintain the arches hanging in the sky, with their tops connected to the global ring. The balloons at these times can be allowed to drift out of gas and hang suspended along the sides of the arch untill the arches are placed in use again. The balloons are then re-charged with helium, and the air from the arches is removed, forming a vacuum within, sucking the air up into space, and their interiors collapsing, with the entire arches supported by the balloons. The lower portion remains filled with ground level pressure air, and the elevators then can be pushed up into the vaccum untill they reach the top. Then the proceedure is repeated as normal. Air is allowed to enter the sides of the arch at all points, creating a pressure equalization, and the elevators catapult back down to the ground. The air is then removed from the upper chambers of the arch and the proceedure is repeated, to carry people up to the sky, being pushed by the pressure differentials all the way up.

I have chosen the form of the arches so as to provide a more comfortable ride up, rather then a vertical one or a straight 60-70 degree trip all the way. Better to have an initial vertical ascent, when the pressure differential is greatest, and thus the vertical thrust is greatest. This is followed by a gradual curvature to a horizontal ascent as the people reach the top of the arched access gates.

In the topic, "The Structures of the Future", attached is a diagram of the multiple rings system, and the chambers of ring globes that will encase the rings.

The upper ring globes move with the cables, and with the orbiting bodies attached at the end of the cables. They slide along the central ring, being connected by magnetic connectors, with a trigger safety system. The lower ring globes are fixed. The hoist cables go through these, and pull the weights up to the global ring. All the system below the ring is fixed and all the system above is in movement. A section is shown also, which illustrates how the entire system will be encased on all sides by the ring globes, creating an encased central ring, out of the reach of bodies which may damage it. If one of the ring globes is hit, it can be repaired, and the main ring is left undamaged. The ring globes will be made with inflatable globes that are filled with oxygen and maintain small compartments and a structure to withstand impacts or explode on impact, leaving the central ring intact.

The Space Generators

The image below, "Space Generator" illustrates how in space we will be able to produce power by placing small versions of the ring system around a fixed turbine. These outer rings and their rotating bodies orbit and spin around their own central cores. These in turn are mounted on a greater ring system, and spin as a unit on the larger ring.

In the image "Space Generator1_", the system is expanded and is slowly built-up to allow for the incorporation of larger units composed of these individual systems. Thus, as the system expands, the energy production capacity expands as well.

In the image "space generator1_1_, the system is expanded further and smaller rotating systems spin around larger systems, and this entire unit becomes a gigantic space station and also energy producing machine. The inner cavities are filled with laboratories, cities, and the entire unit becomes a docking station as well. These entire units will also be hooked/connected to the earth ring and also to other planetary earth rings. They will be mass produced. The interior compartments will be made with the same synthetic light weight inflatable materials.

We also produce a relative speed, which compared to static states of equilibrium, produces a "static state of inertia" that results in an incredible mass speed, with relation to the stationary masses in equilibrium. Thus in effect, we have mass moving at incredibly large speeds within the framework of the altered inertia equation, possible by altering these energy states of matter.

The masses, in their points of reference, move at a reasonable speed within the framework of the perimeter of vision, as defined by their governing energy state. To external observers, moreover, the matter appears to be moving at an incredible large speed. This, possible by the temporal distortion of time, with relation to the "static states of matter". The normal condition of matter, in general systems of behavior, versus altered exceptional conditions of a limited amount of matter, produces a relative distortion in the space time continuum, thus altering the perceptions of space and time.

This, together with the magnetic cancellation possible by generating new centers of equilibrium, produces unidirectional forces as defined by the governing internal magnetic fields of the bodies, subjected to the altering energy states, as applied to the greater rotating fluid of matter held in suspension around the nucleus.

By basing our energy producing nucleus on the design of the atom, we can quantify this energy and control the exterior perimeters of bound energy, by fluctuations of energy in the core, producing a resulting fluctuation of the energy states in the perimeter bound matter. In this radial distribution, using the atom as a model, we have a means to distribute the fluctuating energy in multi directional arrangements. Thus, by bending the rotating energy along squeezed orbits, we can thus produce governing patterns of directional forces, thus creating a system for propulsion.

By creating a controlled intense magnetic field, we can also control the re-arrangements of the contained energy in the matter, orienting it along the strands of energy pulses that we wish to govern the systems behavior. This allows the magnetic field to create uni directional bending forces capable of bending space along pre determined pathways, thus altering the magnetic field in the circumference of our pulsating fields of re-arranged energy states.

These re-arrangements of energy states basically alter the equations of momentum, of energy, of matter, of time, of space, of gravity, allowing us to manipulate these at will and create uni directional forces that are used as a system of propulsion.

The Gravitational Kinetics of Motion

Gravitational fiels exert governing polar behavior along predetermined polar axis. By creating our uni directional forces, we can also pulse and bounce these magnetic currents along the pre existing terrestrial polar axis, and thus use this also as a form of magnetic propulsion. Thus, our vehicles follow movements in space similar to the movements of satellites, as defined by the polar directional bounce in our directed systems.

The Gravitational Cancellation Theory

The altered energy states of matter, as shown, alter various equations and behavior of complex energy systems. and gravity is one of them. Gravity can suffer the effect of neutralization, if the individual polar coordinates of the atoms are re aligned along new paths, in such a way that their re alignment is opposite to the gravitation force. The new re alignment allows their governing axis to be opposite to the governing gravitational access of the greater body of matter, thus creating a force of repulsion, similar to the magnetic re alignment which occurs in positively and negative charged magnets.

Energy States and Their Relation to Renewable Energy


Energy states provide a source of renewable energy, in that that predominant energy patterns are generated by the distortions of the interior flux of the strings of energy currents. This in effect produces a quantifiable source of energy flux, which can be used to in effect produce work and thus usable energy. In effect, we are liberating incredible amounts of energy by tiny minute distortion of energy states. This creates a very slow decay of matter, rather then, by contrast, the immediate decay as produced by nuclear fission. We thus have a slow, controlled way to liberate the energy as contained in matter, and to use it as a source of renewable energy. This energy, as projected along governing strings or paths of movement, creates a source of usable energy, in contrast to the dispersed energy of nuclear fission. No longer are we concerned with radio active isotopes, or nuclear carbon des integration into unstable energy. Small quantifiable distortions and fluxes of energy states, by producing a governing pattern of behavior, produce also a controllable energy flux that is thus used in a practical way as a source of renewable energy.

The Model of an Atom as a Source of Renewable Energy

The atom, in its nucleus, rotating electron arrangement, serves as the model for this pulsating energy flux machine. By controlling the boundary energy flux areas by distortions in the nucleus, we create governing patterns of behavior and can thus control our governing flow of multi directional energy and bend this along preferred paths of movement, thus creating controllable renewable energy.

Bucky's Tensegrity Ring-bridge

In 1951, I designed a free floating tensegrity ring-bridge to be installed way out from and around the earth's equator. Within this 'halo' bridge, the Earth would continue its spinning while the circular bridge would revolve at its own rate. I foresaw Earthian traffic vertically ascending to the bridge, revolving and descending at preferred Earth loci. 66


- Now, Buckminster Fuller's ring bridge was similar, but different, in that the ring would rotate in relation to the earth. The Global Ring will be stationary in relation to the earth, allowing the top of the Global Pyramid to connect at the top to the Global Ring.

- But Fuller's vision remains accurate, now embodied in a new vision and design and unique way to accomplish something which great minds have envisioned at different points in history, with no knowledge of each other.

- Also, the free floating ring-bridge designed by Fuller was not maintained in space with the same system I have designed, nor does it serve all the multiple functions that the new Global Ring has been designed to do. Nor was it connected to an earth-space bridge, which we have by connecting it to the Global Pyramid.

- We have little information also on Buckminster's design, as he mentioned it in a few sleeve notes to the "Fountains of Paradise" in refering to a system he had envisioned which was similar to the space elevator, under development at that time.

The following developments in history at that time and since then, and the current Space Elevator, thus, have, so to speak "missed the boat".

ORGANIC ARCHITECTURE

Organic architecture, one could say, is one which responds directly to the functional aesthetics of man and nature in such a way that it's corresponding form translates a sense of spatial and material connection to the organic properties as seen in nature.

This need not be a direct translation into organic forms as we see in nature.

But it does not preclude the need to allow the inherent functions to be an integral part of the form, and these two to respond to the natural environment and it's elements in such a way that the architecture creates a dialog with nature.

This dialog can be achieved by responding to a stream, to the sounds of nature, to the forms, shapes and colors around it, in such a way that the architecture embodies some sense of place in the environment that is connected in a sense to the timeless forms and orders of nature.

Our architecture being inserted in a completely natural surrounds can respond in a less conflicting manner then in the city. It can create a more direct connection and respond in a more direct way.

In the city and in urban centers, our architecture must respond to the built environment, to urban issues, to other buildings blocking or allowing light, to human corridors and paths of movement, to the views and winds of the city and the operating mechanisms set in place to provide the mechanical environments we so learn to live with on a daily basis. Thus, in a convoluted world of tensions and conflicting sources beaconing attention, there is less space for a direct harmonious link, as the crowded world of urban design brings in the age of the machine, the materials of the city and the aesthetics of the iconic architecture and "keash" architectural designs that evoke a sense of competitive expression. Thus, the architecture must compete with signs, billboards, the urban tissue and movement, with other architecture and becomes lost in a sea of expression and commercial messages.

In my view, to enable an understanding of "organic" architecture, one must study oriental society, philosophy and means of living and also the relationship between Western and Eastern values and culture.

Creativity in Architecture

Creativity is more then responding in a clever way with functional aesthetics. It must inspire the senses, the mind, the soul. It must come from within the remote corners of our imagination and draw forth a new vision of resolute form that combines the science of construction with the art of sensual expression. It cannot merely aspire to draw upon the forms of the past as a visual experience. It must know how to contextualize these forms within the new, in such a way that the forms become a relevant cultural and artistic statement.

It can be found in the materials, in the structure, in the two dimensional arrangement, in the volumetric form, in the combination of programmatic elements, in the clever intervention of user needs, in the taming of the problem, in the re adjustment of the constraints or in the simple pure visual statements of its representation.

At no moment is creativity bound. It is free to soar, to experiment, to bring it's own vision of the future.

It can be a personal expression or a greater social statement.

In it's infinite forms of elaboration, it embodies the multiplicity of technical knowledge and combines this into an artistically refined statement of intent.

When well done, it carries the power to live on, to shake the senses, to move the soul, to empower the minds of the spectators to dream, to experience, to live the beauty of it's majesty.
