El Capitan versus Mountain Lion Speed

Postby robmunach » Sat Mar 19, 2016 7:25 am

Seems like the writing is on the wall that I will have to upgrade later this year to El Capitan. Does anyone know what kind of speed hit I am going to take (positive or negative)? I am currently running Mountain Lion on a Mid 2011 iMac i5, 2.7, 16gb and an SSD. Thanks!

I'm running El Capitan on similar hardware. I'm not noticing speed issues vs. Mountain Lion.

The performance of Safari and Apple Mail seemed to have improved, however.
