PowerCADD 64bit vs 32bit
PowerCADD 64bit vs 32bit
I checked the Applications section under System Report (System Report>Software>Applications) and found "No" under 64bit. I read an article by Ars Technica 4/11/18 where Apple will no longer be supporting 32bit apps in the near future. And, that developers have been notified of this move. Will PowerCADD be upgraded or is it already compatible? Bsased on the "No" in the Applications, it does not appear to be compatible. Thanks - Frank

Re: PowerCADD 64bit vs 32bit
Frank,
The immediate restrictions are for the Mac app store. We are going to have to get to 64-bit eventually, but it’s a big job that will take time.
No reason to worry.

Re: PowerCADD 64bit vs 32bit
Alfred,
Apple announced High Sierra will be the last OS to support 32 bit "without compromise" and highly recommends distribution of applications outside of the Apple Store after June 2018 should be 64 bit. I hope the big job of converting PowerCADD and WildTools to 64 bit is well underway.

Thanks, but my name is Alfred.
The key words to understand are “without compromise” which means that the next OS will warn you once that 32-bit apps are being phased out, you acknowledge receiving this news and keep on going. You won’t just fall off a cliff.
Of course we are working on this. It mainly affects the reading and writing of data to files.
