good experiences with professional lens servicing?

Postby Kevin » Tue Dec 15, 2009 3:08 pm

I've got a somewhat pricey Canon EFS series lens with ultrasonic focusing and image stabilization, which has been worked hard for a while and is now ready for professional cleaning and possibly some electronics diagnostics.

Anyone have experience you could relate with a good camera service shop for this kind of thing?

Hi Kevin I have sent my lenses into Canon and have gotten good service. You might see if you can sign up to become a CPS member and you can get a quicker turn around. They have a shop on both the east coast and west coast. Jeff

In case you haven't yet had your lens repaired you might give KEH in Atlanta a try. They have worked on a few pieces of equipment for me and have always done a good job at a very reasonable price. Turnaround time is pretty fast also.
