I've got more than 20 contracts from my webpage last year.
Actully I've got only 2 projects from other sources.
Right now I have other 2 clients recomended by Internet clients and other 2 that will soon sign contracts.
The Internet really really works. _________________ Octavian Ungureanu,

Oh...
How they come?
1. They never look for you on the Internet. They don't know you, don't care about you and don't care what your offer is. They are looking only for informations regarding their need (to build in our case). If they find in your webpage valuable informations about that....
2. You need a good trafic on your site.... So you don't have to link your page to the web directories, but to other sites that are visited by your target.
3. You need to build trust: You need to be perceived as having a great level of expertize. They need to see your picture, your designs, your stories, your testimonials, your articles....
4. Get them at your office and sell them your services....
It was a work of months but it really started to work.... The only problem is that I targeted mostly small projects (houses).... _________________ Octavian Ungureanu,

Yeah, I know how that would work for residential projects but we only do commercial (mostly) work...residential only when we have to or as a favor...and large corporations do not rely on webpages to find architects. Unless I'm missing something. What did u link your page to?

I've wrote a few articles...
Offered for free to realestate websites, constructions portals...
For commercial is the same....
Usually a person from the firm has to find what they need to build.... so he searches for buildings, costs, land...etc
For firms is the same.... you adress to people....
Employes try to get noticed and sugest relevant documents that they could get....
It's the information again that is more important than other think...
I've got comercial projects too.... Even that I targeted on residential...
I am starting right now the marketing plan for comercial design... I will keep you in touch if you're interested.... _________________ Octavian Ungureanu,

Yes Trilith, please keep me informed. I am very curious about the differences in strategies because we essentially did the same thing you mentioned (ie, links, articles, even offer free consultations, etc)...perhaps the market is too big here in the US, but somehow I don't think that's it. Again, I wish their was a poll of some sorts with this data...any information will help, although ironically right now is a bad time. We have way too much work and not enough employees...in fact it's apparantly a growing problem down here. Qualified draftsmen and architects are hard to find and hire. But that's a good problem...
