After the concrete block walls are built and sit through the winter I'm going to seal the block next summer with some water sealer/proofer. My question is after I've done this what is the best material to use to put an approximate 1/4" thick layer over the block that I can make to a smooth finish ?
This will be covering the block from top to bottom.
I will not be painting it. I will be applying another sealer to it maybe.
I DO prefer a high psi material.
Would it be Quikcrete 5000 or something similar ?
What cement/mortar material (name) would be good for covering this much surface area ?
Thanks |

I have used Thoroseal Cementitious Waterproof Coating over concrete block to smooth out the surface and creat a look similar to stucco. I used multiple coats to thicken it where necessary.
This product comes in white and gray colors.
