Hi,
I am planning to move to Chicago. Can anyone help me out or direct me to firms which are doing some great work in Sustainable Design? or without saying the "S" word architects doing work in clean Energy/effciencey, water usage, recycled materials usage, clean air quality, site usage and other environmental issues in Chicago or the suburban area?
I am a licensed architect with LEED certification with 10 years of experience specifically in Green issues.
I am hopeful of a positive feedback.
Thanks.
Sustainably,

I don't know of any firms in Chicago that focus specifically on sustainability. Many firms employ LEED professionals, pursue sustainability where feasible and have a few token “LEED certified” projects to their credit. Sadly, Chicago lacks someone like Bill Dunster. If I’m wrong about that, someone please let me know.
That said, there are very few reputable firms that aren’t aware of, and interested in pursuing, sustainable design. With your stated level of experience you would be welcome in any number of firms where you would be expected to pursue that agenda and provide leadership with respect to environmental design. |
