Thats Mad! The percentage of land that is urban in the uk is 2 meaning the rest is wood and farm. I cant see India being that much different. Sorry but this looks like another one for thwe gimmick bin.

I beg to differ, the argument sounds a good one to me, when you consider that the living standards and expectations of populous countries like India and China are growing quickly, while the land area remains the same. Though in reality the greed and waste of the populations in the 'west' need to be managed far better, India is a frugal country in comparison!
I don't know whether you have seen it, but the Dutch Pavilion at the 2000 Hanover Expo was a commentary on population density and efficient land management, each level represented a different aspect of farming or natural resources.
