i tried to insert an excel worksheet in autocad 2005.
the whole file cannot be inserted successfully except i changed all the text size to #8 then reduced the column weighth and row height. now i can fit the whole file in the sheet dwg without losing any info. but the question is i cannot change the ole text size anymore. i think there could be a limitation setted for the OLE object. not sure though.
one more thing is that when i tried paste-link, it failed saying i need to make sure the object is created in system registry. do not know why.
anyone can help?
thanks a lot

You are right. AUTOCAD used to have this inserting limitation even in 2004 version. ( i didn't have chance to try 2005 yet). If your firm really have alot of this spreadsheet past, you can ask boss to buy a software which allow you to paste the spreadsheet into cad successfully. It is very good based on the comments.
If you don't want to buy. then do what you have done. For the limitation, you can find it out in www.autodesk.com, they also have a huge discussion forum for their software. |
