Someone has a question: “Now I need to perforate the floor of my sitting room and then install stairs in my next down boxroom to store and bring something conveniently. I have laminate flooring installed at my sitting room. Can I break some area of it?

The answer:

Yes, you can. But you need to use end cap or stair nose to trim the edge of laminate flooring and offer a spare space which width is at least 8mm. “7” shape end cap will be better for your situation. Laminate is a floating type. And it needs enough spare space to float.
