My advise will be a late but clear one, also well determined for u;

My suggestion for you is to make some research about the EU funds which is directed as donation in recent years for restoration of old buildings and monuments around Europe, and try to establish a scheme for these funds, later try to write smt. depending on this foundation, the topics could be "saving the heritage", "adapting the past into future", or smt. which you observe as determination for r country and surroundings. Also you will find many well defined quotations and official records as proof or support to your articles.

One other topic related to this subject could be:
which kind of firms and people are working on these projects for now, because this world is dragged into a modern construction methods but these buildings restorations are only feasible by old techniques and methods.
My point is;
The number of masters which are working with these techniques( carving of stones,carpentery ext.. hand made production of every part as finishing) are just like in danger of extinction.
I hope this perspective will help you as an Idea

thank you all, you've posted some really great suggestions Very Happy

What i think would suit me best, is working with a firm such as OMA / AMO or similar ones - actually, that's exactly what i had in mind Very Happy Very Happy !! great, now i know what i'll be doing for the next, say, 5 years (hope koolhaas is reading this Cool ) - no, seriously, i think i will cling to this idea, but i don't know many firms similar to OMA (multidisciplinary, all-around-the-world offices, big accent on research...)

- location agent - that's really interesting, but not my cup of tea - i didn't even know that such profession exists!
- heritage, preservation etc.. - no, i'm more fond of contemporary issues

Five years ago, when i was deciding what to study, i abandoned architecture because of all the technical/matematical subjects/courses - now i'mm sorry i didn't even try...
Somebody asked me if i intend to stay in Croatia - no, not necessarily (i'm going to Paris in september for 5 months)

again, i really thank you all guys, you really helped me Smile

I Think you should consider giving architecture another try.
The preservation of modern buildings is another area worth considering.
Archivist of buildings of all ages is a good and valid option.
Travel and photography documenting contemporary buildings.
I didn't really understand exactly what it is you intend to do working for Rem Koolhas, some clarification would be enlightening and perhaps inspirational.
You said that understanding the syles previous to modern ideas is important, I agree with you there. Wouldn't you like to spend more time studying art history in more detail.
First and foremost I think you should think about becoming an architect more seriously.
You only live once so you may as well make the most of it.
