Hey, I just applied to a number of MArch program for candidates with an unrelated undergraduate degree. I certainly interested in pursuing sustainability and being involved in the "green movement" but am not sure where to go to school. Choices right now are U. Oregon (Eugene), Colorado in Denver, and U. Michigan in Ann Arbor. Still waiting to hear from UNC-Charlotte. Any opinions and advice on these schools would be great as decision time is quickly approaching! Thanks for any help.

My general advice is worry about getting a good education and leave specialization out of your school choice.

You can deal with sustainability, and the scam that is LEED for after graduation.

Seems like a pretty vague answer. I mean, depending on the area within architecture some schools are going to give you a better education, right? And shouldn't sustainability and energy efficient design be a top priority for this field? If you know somethings about the schools or about their reputations I'd like to hear those. Not general opinions.

I can speak for UNCC. I know they are in the process of letting the new students know an answer. Just a couple of questions, are you applying for the MArch I or II. I am in the MI program and it really is a great school. Some of the professors are really in to the theory behind architecture, but you can work around some of those classes if you are not interested in theory. The Masters program is pretty intense but it is worth it. The school only admitted around 30 graduates last year. You can follow-up, if you would like, with Professor Peter Wong. He is a great guy and should be able to help you. Good luck and hope this helps its only a brief description that you may already know.

Well that's one hell of a way to ask for help.

Good luck, you'll need it.
