Tectonics is just a fancy word for construction.
Some professors use it to distinguish betwen form and structure....
...or just because they think it makes them sound cool and smart. |

| I would describe tectonics as the study of the way things are put together, in this case architecture. Though yes, I also agree it is a fancy word that some professors like to throw around for no particular reason. |
