Mid to Senior Level Architect
The architectural division at Meadors Inc. in Charleston is looking for a mid to senior level architect(s) to further enhance and define our practice. Should have 5 to 10 years minimum experience and be a South Carolina or NCARB registered architect to join our team.
Must have a passion for working in the historic context of Charleston. Current projects include preservation, restoration, and reconstruction work. We have very high standards, take projects from beginning to end, and place a high priority on architectural involvement during the construction.
Our other focus is custom residential work, and we are currently designing and constructing new design/build homes on Wadmalaw and James Islands. This work is significantly informed by our historic milieu. In addition, we are often selected by our client base to design their commercial spaces and buildings.
The multi-faceted nature of our business provides an opportunity for someone to specialize in either restoration or new construction as well as for one who would like to take advantage of the varied opportunities.
Meadors is uniquely positioned to fully maximize the design and construction process through the interaction with our in-house cabinet makers, millwork shop, roofers, painters, and other professionals. See our millwork and crafts links for more information.
AutoCAD experience is required and the ability to use Revit is a plus. We also run most Adobe graphic software and have design services division for the production of models. See our design services link for more information on our capabilities.
