Hi everyone,
I'm actually looking for a little assistance with something and I'm hoping that someone out there may be able to offer some help.
I work as a consultant and a client has just asked me if I can help find him 3 architects for some pretty exciting and sensitive restoration projects in the South West / Cardiff area.
Questions are:
1) Is this a good place to potentially advertise?
2) Can someone recommend someone who is potentially looking for a move/change?
3) Where might be a good place to start looking?
Many thanks for any help in advance.
Karl

Very enterprising ...or desparate
I work in Cardiff and know there is a serious shortage of skilled architects and technicians. If people want to change jobs they have no problem finding willing employers.
There is a forum here specifically for advertising vacancies. No idea how many people view it. Personally I don't, the chances are slim of finding a perfect vacancy in Cardiff on a website based in Oregon. By the time you read this reply the moderators will have moved your question to the correct forum. |

| Hey, dude, DC is based in cyberspace! Some of our servers are in Virgina, some in Utah, all subject to transparent and user-irrelevant change. The same paths (and high search rankings) that led a Welsh recruiter here may unite him with some applicants! And best wishes to all. |

Oops, I have been duly reprimanded
At least I can do our frind a favour by pushing his request back to the top of the forum. I assume he needs fully qaulified architects, which counts me out. |

Dear architect team/ahmed monir,
When you answer every conceivable help or services wanted request with the same generic answer, that is SPAMMING.
When you post many copies of the same message all over the forums in a short time, THAT IS SPAMMING.
There is a LIMITED tolerance for your commercial messages at DesignCommunity.
_IF_ you learn to behave NOW then you will be tolerated.
If you KEEP SPAMMING you will be identified as an abusive spammer and blocked and deleted relentlessly.
Since you have already been blocked for forum abuse once, you are on probation ALREADY.
RULES:
Post ONLY in appropriate threads. If the thread asks for architects in Wales or Singapore, it is NOT APPROPIATE to reply with your spam about Egypt.
Post only ONE COMMERCIAL MESSAGE PER WEEK. It will do better for you in the long run. ONLY ONE.
If you are real architects, you are welcome to engage in real discussion and be part of the forum that way, posting more often. Real ideas, pictures of real buildings in Egypt (not your own projects - you are on probation!), serious honest questions or comments. But they have to be contributions to the conversation, non-commerical, and not self-serving. Remember, you are already on probation.
And if you damage these forums by clogging them with SPAM, then they won't be a good place for you message either!
people who only take and never give, damaging what they are taking from in the process, are known as "parasites". STOP BEING ONE.
Sincerely,
The Management |
