| Could anyone help me figure out how to distinguish parts of my floor plan by different color wall lines or infill shading. What software best does this. thanks. I want to differentiate between an existing structure and an addition. |

Autodesk ADT does this very well for me, I don't use colour in the print out just black so I fill in the existing walls & shade the new walls according to their structure i.e. Brick veneer, stone etc _________________ Cheers

Plain AutoCAD or even Acad LT will do this. Simply use a solid hatch and give it a color. Make sure you set that color to print in color in your Pen settings. I usually make existing structures a gray color linestyle. |

| Doesn't matter what software you want to use. The important is you have a legend or a drafting standard manual to incorporate which is new and existing wall. |
