| Since traditional summer internships are few and far between, does anyone have any ideas of other architecture-related summer jobs I could look for? |

Take the opportunity and freedom to get some real-world experience in my honest opinion. Once you enter the architecture world, you will have less field experience for a good while. I'd try getting into construction if you can for summer jobs. Maybe work for a general contractor.
