3Ds Max 10
Con or classic essential? I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on this. I personally think it's a bit of a rip off when companies like Autodesk repeatedly update software at huge costs to confuse and dupe the innocent new 3D designers into buying updates they don't necessarily need! Not to mention the professionals and freelancers working on tight deadlines having to solves software update issues when working with files! Isn't one fantastic update once a year enough? |

Max, like many other software, has started to get veeeery heavy. It's barely improved since version 7, which was 75 MB, but the software size has gone up almost 50 times.
I tried the 2009 trial, and found it too heavy for my station, which is really state-of-the-art.
I'm scared to try 2010 and honestly, why do it?
I use MAX9 64 bit and it suits my needs perfectly. Would have used 8 but V-ray pushed me through the upgrade. Ugh...
Hope this helps. _________________ View the Archviz Studio |
