NO NEED TO SHOUT
Wouldn't you need to say a bit more about your method of construction? And size? And ground conditions? Normally you would need foundations beneath the load bearing elements. |

Many conditions determine the size and placement of footings
1- number of stories being supported
2- supported length of joist (different from supported joist length!)
3- proximity of footings to ground water table
4-building finish (brick, stucco, siding etc)
5- width of foundation wall
6-frost line (if applicable)
7-Local / regional building codes and officials
8-proximity to lot lines and easements
Adding an addition also means properly connecting to the existing foundation to eliminate movement and water penetration.
In short, the above limitations need to work with your vision to arrive at the correct placement. It's hard to answer a question of footing placement without knowing the answers to all the parameters
