If someone lacks in design, is it a matter of his/her designing skills can be enhanced or is it a matter of, if u were'nt born with it, then nothing can help u enhance them.

yes but depends on the envoirement too.. if the father are a former or so it is easier. i know at my own this influence.. i had worked together with my father in some deveolpments and so i get a "feeling" for doing the right or not. maybe i had inherit it from my dad but i think learning in life is possible...

I think you can definately start to get a feel for what works in terms of general practicality, color composition, and arranging shapes. Over time you may develop the skills to do these things and become a decent designer.

First, solve the stated problem(s). A modest, practical, simple solution to the problems discovered in the 'program' or 'brief' will be sufficient. If more architectural solutions were the result of this thinking, we would have more appropriate architecture.

One of the finest examples of attractive, even delightful, graphic design was done by a young mathematician friend of mine, who was asked by an employer (at an insurance firm) to re-do the cover of an in-house file folder. The information shown was a routing pattern for the enclosed data, to the various offices within the firm. My friend arranged the information in a logical way, that satisfied the requirement and made sense to him, and I think he was surprised and pleased to hear from me that I thought it really very beautiful1

Good design is found everywhere -- and nature is the best teacher.
