Depends largely on your budget, and what you want to do with the plotter.

For those on a tight budget, say under 5K, I strongly recommend an inkjet by HP or Encad.

Those with high output demands will want to look at an OCE laser plotter. Note that these plotters do NOT ususally print in color.
