Hihi everyone,
I am currently doing a project to model the 3D structures of several buildings yet I lack the specifications of the buildings. Any place in particular that I can find the architectual specifications like the height of the building, floor plan, Direct (Straight Vertical) View, Front View, Side View, Rear View, Close up (for building, windows panels or door textures) etc
Need the specifications for some sky scrapers in Singapore like the Republic Plaza, UOB Plaza and Ngee Ann City..
Anyone can help? Please email me at - blocked -
Many Thanks,
Xanne |

Coupla things...
First, regarding your main question, we've modeled hundreds of famous buildings around the world, to various levels of detial from abstract massing summaries to detailed interior/exterior walkthrough experiences. In virtually every case, collecting the information needed to build an accurate model is a significant part of the overall project.
If a building has been published, you may be able to scrape together the necessary information from published doucmentation, whether in books or periodicals.
Otherwise, your best best is probably to contact the building architects, or secondarily, the building owners. Better think of a reason it is worth their while to help you out! Even just hearing a request, approving it, pulling documents, and making copies can add up to a notiticable expense for a busy firm.
I suppose in some countries there may be government agencies that keep construction documents on file for major buildings, and some of those may even make the information available. We haven't yet experienced such a luxury for the projects we're worked on.
Second, a point of ettiquette. An online forum is about conversation, give and take, mutual support. People who post a personal request and say 'email me the answer' aren't showing participation in the natural two-way conversation that is the life of the forum. One should have at least the commitment to check back for answers to one's own question, so the answers at least become part of the community knowledge. (I guess this is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.)
Good luck with your project. Let us know where you end up finding the building info! |

Hihi,
So sorry about that.. Its my first time posting in a forum.. Do apologise for being impolite..
At the moment, I would need to model the (Singapore) UOB Plaza 1, 2 and its podium, however I am unable to locate any available 3D model of this building. Anyone able to assist me with it?
Many thanks,
