hi there...does anyone have a useful link to where i could get information about how and on what criterias are hotels graded into 5 star and 4 star etc...plus whats the basic concept behind HOTEL APARTMENTS like how do they differ from simple hotels or luxury apartment buildings....i need this info asap...so plzzz do send in your comments...

The details of a star rating system will vary according to what authority is making (and publishing, usually) the ratings. I don't think there is an universal standard.

Here's an explanation of theirs from the East of England Tourist Board:

Well my project is in Dubai, U.A.E...a place which has its own seven star burj al arab...so that means Dubai has its own star rewarding criteria?...i did though got an idea from the eastofengland site that kevin suggested...i guess it would be a good idea to ask the professional local people in the field over here...and what about hotel apartments...are they awarded stars as well like hotels as they do differ cuase there a combo of hotel and luxurious residential....anyways....a little help on it would be much appreciated Smile ....
