Would be interested to know from professionals, interns, and students alike, if a book on detailing of architectual/construction projects, is of interest.
Propose a discussion about detailing, and not replication of standard detiails, and a litany of historic details for reuse.
Would be a discussion of the intent, content, and production of details. Hope to breed understanding of process, and the values of both manual and CAD drafting-- and how BOTH can contribute to better drawings and details.
Not planned as controversial book, but merely to show and discuss case studies, good drawings, and provide insight and understanding of the principles of detailing, the rationale, the technqiues, and the value to the end-users. |
