| I am coming up on my vacation time (2 weeks) and am looking to visit a place with inspiring architecture. I need some recomendations on cities and why it worth a visit. Paris (and its consistency) and Berlin (seems like every possible architect of note today has a builing there) are my personal overall favorites so far. |

Both seem excellent choices and they are both on my 'must (re) do' list. Evidently it depends a lot on where you are travelling from and where you have already visited.
A bit more leftfield, Copenhagen and Helsinki seem to always have interesting stuff going on. |

| Having been to both cities recently, I would say Berlin, for the architecture bit. But take a stroll along the Seine in the floodlights at dusk and... but there's a David Chipperfield building in Berlin that's superb and tons of other inspiring stuff, especially if you're an architect and know what to look for, details-wise. |

thanx for the responses solidred and lekizz, I should have stated that my fav. cities that i have already been to so far are Paris and Berlin. Copenhagen and Helsinki look cool and i will keep them in mind, but scandanavia is probably to expensive for me right now. i wish I would have checked out copenhagen while i was in europe for two months but i was having way to much fun in eastern europe and only caught the "must do's" in western europe.
I'm thinking south america, but still investigating |

Helsinki is fantastic for modern buildings, its great to see a range of Aalto buildings, and the people are friendly too! _________________ http://www.architectureforlondon.co.uk |
