Does anyone know how much a standard affordable home in the UK would cost per square meter?
Say it was a 3 bedroom, 5 person home ... what would that be and are there any rules around it or is it just a guide price?
If anyone knows... how about a normal house, and an eco house too?

Salam=Peace!
There is a website of people doing the calculation and market survey for particular big cities around the world... A company called ''Colliers International'' you must find something useful their the last survey it would be on the 4th Quarter of 2008. If you re lucky you might find the first quarter of 2009 for your city you wish.

Affordability is a function of wages and intentions to a greater extent than construction technology. Making housing affordable, as a project, is constrained by market forces that establish worker rates of compensation. Making the single family home affordable in the US to two married workers where both make $15.00 an hour is a huge challenge in the US. I can not imagine how difficult affordable housing must be in China where the average wage is $1.50 per hour. Is the construction technology that much better in China?
