Actually, you're not in a BArch program, it's a BA Arch. If it were an unaccredited BArch, you might have been able to find a 1-yr MArch.

But yes, there are many 2-yr MArch's that you can chose from.

I didn't get where you were referring to but since their is discussion about US schools i will add my two cents.

FIU as an example...pre professional 4 year BA Arch.

FAU 1 additional year for a BAArch.....

That or a Master are required to pursue licensing, which should be the ultimate goal. Shoot for your dream but don't be discouraged if getting into teh 'best' program doesn't work out.

There is a lot to learn after school and the reality is very few firms care where you graduated, unless you are trying to work for a real big name design firm. You will still start at the bottom.

Strive for the license which allows you to sign and seal construction documents for a firm or yourself. You are worth more and it is more fulfilling.

Regards,
Ryan

To get in... you need to be able to draw by hand, you 'should' have to submit an art porfolio most likely. Like a previous post, imagination and passion are huge... architecture schools tend to be theory-based.
