Oh boy Etch-a-Sketch with gummy buttons.

I'd probably get it.

Yes they should try getting LT out first. I think many MAC CADD users might want it even if we don't draw in it a lot.

Personally, I'm okay with the survey and the intent. I'll even participate in the beta testing.

I did not like Autodesk's attitude regarding their migrating to the Power PC Macs in 1993. Also, important peripherals were not made available to Apple users.

I felt it important to note in that survey that the Mac OS platform has distinct advantages over Windows. The setting up of peripherals, such as monitors and printers is a snap. Also, Mac OS X hardly ever crashes, and it does not attract malware like Windows does.

It appeared that the Mac community has grown significantly with Windows fiasco system, Vista, and with the popularity of the iPod and iPhone.

Although I may never use AutoCad, it's worth AutoDesk marketing to the Mac OS platform.

John, I totally agree with you. It is good for Apple and Mac users alike. There is nothing wrong with having options.

Messageboards elsewhere claim that this is not an real survey, and rather it is posted by this blogger:

http://autodesk.blogs.com/between_the_lines/2009/04/i-need-your-input-on-autocad-for-the-apple-mac-os-x.html

an april fools joke?

I don't know what to think.

Many run AutoCAD on a Mac now but not officially supported nor natively as an Apple OSX application.

I Need Your Input on AutoCAD for the Apple Mac OS X

AutoCAD PC & MAC For those unaware I now use both a PS as well as a Apple Mac.I am living with one foot in each world. I run AutoCAD 2010 on my Mac using 3 methods VMware Fusion, Parallels Desktop, and Apple Boot Camp. Boot Camp is the fastest but you have to boot to it instead of OSX.

Strange. Why wouldn't AutoCAD on a Mac be "supported" like any other of the myriad computer brands running Windows?

Also Strange. Why does he run AutoCAD using 3 methods?

Sounds like he's serious about the survey anyway.

I have gotten autocad architect to produce drawings comperable to PowerCADD. The thing I enjoy the most about it is the speed - zooming is instantaneous and there is no waiting around for anything.
