Hello all
As I set out in my last post, I am seriously considering a second degree in Architecture. I noticed that the AA in London has a 3-week long summer school. Has anyone here attended one of these in the past, and if so, what was your impression?
Are there any other architectural summer schools in Europe open to undergraduates? I see that Copenhagen has one, but it seems you need to already be part way through your course. |

| Did you end up going to London England, because I've heard that the program there can get very intense. I am thinking of going abroad myself but I'd like to check out the city first. Any recommendation on quality Discount London Hotels. Greatly appreciated! |

Yes. Its reasonably intense but no more so than a first year at architecture school. A bit too much navel-gazing, bs and faux science justification for abitrary form making by a lot of the units, but there were also some more down to earth tutors with great ideas who really put their heart into the three weeks. i def couldn't go to the aa full time, i'd go mad, but as a three week hit to decide if architecture is for you or not, its probably not a bad taster course.
as for accommodation, don't really know, i stayed with friends during the course. your best bet would probably be put an add up on something like gumtree to rent a room in someone's house for the three weeks of the course. |

| if you just want to go to have a look at london, IBIS Aldgate is not bad for £60 odd per night, or Crowne Plaza Shoreditch for about £80 a night. There are easyhotels for a lot less, but I'm not able to comment on their quality to price ratio. |

| London is not a bad place for summer school. I loved it there. Hope this website on London Hotels will be helpful. |
