I'm wondering if anyone knows of a software package that would allow me to import a digital picture of a building then superimpose pre-rendered features such as awnings, fire escapes, metal fences, gates, that type of thing?

I'd obviously prefer it to be a free download but I'll buy it if I have too.

Google SketchUp can do something similar to this with it's photomatching commands.
Have a look...

i recommend you to try InteriCAD 6000 if you know autocad. it has all the molding function as autocad but also has rendering function and the speed is excelent! what's more,it's tailored for doing interior and exterior design so it has all the things you need as you mentioned.

you can download a demo from our website www.yfcad.com.but uptill now we do not offer free trail version

you can email me for more information if you are interested ella@yfcad.com Smile
