It's stucco over block. It has very little moulding inside with plaster walls, arched doorways, and very square see through book shelves dividing the entry from the dining room. I'm attaching a pic to provide a visual. Note the replacement windows which replaced the original center seamed casement windows. CA, TX or Fl? my believe is that is modern

You're right that it does have some modernist elements. Most stucco, and there aren't many, buildings around here are clearly spanish/spanish mission influenced, complete with red tiled or flat roofs. I think my hip roof seemed colonial influenced, and there are mission elements inside, builtins and stair case seems such. Someone told me that mine seems like a builder's house with many different elements to suit specific tastes,needs. Thanks, Don
