Someone wants to install half place with laminate flooring and the balance with carpet. And he wonders if there is some points need to be cared.
1. It will be better for him to install laminate first as carpet can be cut freely. And it is easier to cut carpet.
2. The carpet reducer will be an idea selection for the transition between laminate and carpet. It covers the edge of laminate, carpet, underlay and transition space.
3. Expansion space should be offered between laminate flooring and carpet, otherwise the laminate will push the carpet and make it rugate when laminate “floats or expands”. |
