Significant healthcare planning experience is required:
A 14-facility non-profit healthcare system, soon to be 16, is searching for a Director of Healthcare Planning and Construction to manage at a very high level, the design, planning, construction, implementation of services, and project management of healthcare and hospital projects. In addition to brand new LEED certified facilities being built, renovations and redevelopment of existing facilities will happen over the long term. This is an opportunity to join a non-profit hospital and completely overhaul the entire system to create in the process a world class healthcare organization.
The successful candidate will create the planning and construction function, oversee it, staff it, and manage it. He/She will oversee and manage outside consultants such as architects, project managers, contractors, etc., as well as manage internal project management and design staff.
Candidates should have previous management experience, hiring/firing experience, an executive presence, and significant experience with healthcare design and planning. Candidates should also be comfortable interacting with executives and the Board of Directors and making cases and presentations on a regular basis.
Candidates should understand how to incorporate building and construction efficiencies and best practices directly relating to healthcare construction to create facilities which enhance patient care.
Candidates should understand construction methods and processes.
Candidates should have experience in contract negotiation and management, and adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
Time is of the essence as we are actively recruiting for this position. Salary is flexible in the 6-figure range and in line with a Senior Director position of this caliber.
