I would greatly appreciate if an architect would allow me to interview them for my school project. The projects is due on 03-10-08 so please respond as soon as possible. These are the questions: thank you

1. What does an architect do?
2. What courses beyond high school are more helpful in preparingfor this
kind of work?
3. What are your responsibilites as an architect?
4. What influences you to become an architet?
5. After college or university, how do you get started?
6. What school would you recommend for preparation for this field?
7. Do you really like your job?
8. What is the annual salary for an architect?
9. Describe what you do in a typical day of an artchitect.
10. What are the opportunities for advancement?
11. How many hours do you work per week? What is a typical work
schedule?
12. What are some benefits?
13. How is technology used in this field?
14. What are the future growth prospects in this field?

Erick, believe it or not, these requests come to this forum pretty often, and there's not really a lot in it for these architects to take the time to write answers to long list of broad questions.

A more likely approach is to find a architect in your local area, and interview them personally. Maybe you can offer to take them out to lunch, and ask your questions in that setting.

Someone in your local area has at least that much social connection, and by interviewing them live and taking the notes yourself, you're making it a lot less work for the busy professional.

You can find local architecture firms in your local yellow pages phone book, or in the very extensive online listings in the Archiplanet wiki:
