Hi

I have just finished my Degree in Interior Architecture and m now looking to improve my portfolio for jobs etc.

For my final exhibition I only had three days to rebuild my main project model so it did not turn out how I would of wanted it.
I have taken some photos of my model with a disposable camera which obviously resulted in poor images.

I have two options:

Rebuild the model now I have more time and take photos with a better camera
Use a 3D computer program to represent my idea.

or

use Photoshop to improve the image quality, represent the feeling and function of the space and add elements to the space. This is the option I want to try out now but need some advice and help doing so

I have included one image of my model below:

Basically it is a multi story car park with a club space/program in the podiums Very Happy
I want to somehow give the illusion bring to life my idea in this image - a tall task I know, but any suggestions would be greatly received.

Regards

OMG that was a BAAAAD camera!!!

It looks to me like the model helps to express your concept, it fulfills a role in your quest to describe aspects of your scheme. It is certainly no where near a finished exhibtion model in any way (but well done for trying, I am completely rubbish at making models).

I would suggest you take it on its merits and, like you say, try and find other ways of modelling your ideas, maybe in the computer.

there are several things that you can do in my opinion. You can use some effects to obscure the image as a back ground. Inlay some vignettes of study sketches (e.g. story board). Or you can use the image of the model to trace and to make it look like a sketch. But ultimately, that image will not stand by itself.

Yeah I think I might rebuild it and then do whats been suggested above byMadimeland yourself using the aid of a computer.

For the original model (pictured) I used 2ply of straw board to represent solid concrete

Are there any suggestions on how could improve my model on the third time round?
