Hello!
What type of rock would most excite an architect? If he/she would find it in a demolished building that is?
I realize that this is one strange question, but I'd appreciate any help.

Please, can you clarify your question?
Do u mean what kind of rock music would an architect think of when he sees a demolished buildg?
Does he have to think about rock music?Couldn't he think of another type of music?
Why are u associating rock music to demilished buildings?
There's something interesting about your question but i can't really get your point there.
Please clarify.

What type of rock would most excite an architect? If he/she would find it in a demolished building that is?
Architects engage in the art of building. Therefore this architect would recognize that Starship (formerly known as Jefferson Starship, and before that Jefferson Airplane) sang “we built this city, built this city on rock and roll.”
Next to that he would find Mick Jagger’s heart. Jagger of the Rolling Stones sang that “she’ll never break, never break, never break, never break this heart of stone.”
Now, to answer the original question, the kind of stone the architect would find in a demolished building is flint. Why flint? Because it is such a “cutting edge” material.
The usual sedimentary rocks such as limestone and sandstone would be too common as building materials to excite the architect. Marble and slate would not necessarily excite him/her, unless the marble were of some special quality. Granite is now commonly used in kitchens and baths, especially in residential remodeling jobs where anything not granite is given that familiar 21st century put down (as seen and heard in the USA on HGTV), “it’s so dated.”
I have read that flint was used in buildings since at least the 1300’s, although I do not recall seeing it used.
Of course the architect would be even more surprised to find Paul Simon of Simon and Garfunkel fame. Simon sang, “I Am a Rock, I am an island, a fortress deep and mighty, that none may penetrate…”
Speaking of Jagger and the Rolling Stones, “Heart of Stone” was recorded in 1964.
In 1964 the Governor of New York state decided to locate state offices in the soon-to-be-revealed plans by Minuro Yamasaki’s for the twin towers of the World Trade Center. The building plans had gotten off to a “rocky” start.

In 1964 U. S. President Lyndon Johnson laid out his plan for a “Great Society” at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
