I wondered if some of the other longstanding issues have been addressed? Dashed line problem comes to mind...

Thank you ES for the 7.05 update.

The Arial font problem was driving me nuts, and the message which said that a later version of WT was available when I had 8.04 Intl installed already.

Now all works well. Thank you ES!

David

Would the current update (7.05) benefit me if I'm still running 10.4.11 and PC 7.03 ?

Can anyone confirm if the dashes problem has been resolved? This is critical for us.

Mike,

At the risk of sounding rude, why won't you provide any information about the dashes problem either by email or through this forum? The problem is either fixed or it isn't. A one sentence response would let everyone know if 7.05 fixes the problem. If it isn't fixed or you have no intention of trying to fix it then be honest enough to let us know that this is the case.

Regards,

Nik

Nik, you're not being rude for asking, but being ignored certainly seems to be. It's a valid and relevant question that has been ignored for a long time.

I don't want to speak too soon...

However, I have turned back on "Use Global Attributes" in Preferences, and set line weights, arrows and dashes to the ones I like So far I don't seem to be getting any accumulation of dash patterns as before.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the addressing of "memory leaks" has fixed this problem.

I think you will only get dash accumulation when you import a .dwg file with global attributes on.

Yes, if you play with the use global attributes you can clear and prevent further dash problems.

....at the expense of not being able to pass attributes with drawings! Stinks if you use templates like we do. Then all users have to create and maintain their own style libraries and such... It's a kludge fix.

What other option? constantly toggle when you do DWG imports?

no fun!

There may be another work around for the accumulation of Dashed Lines.

You can use my Preference Utility to take a snapshot of your PowerCADD preference files at any time which includes your Global Attributes if you have that setting on. From then on you can use my Utility to always launch PowerCADD with those settings.

Derek

and then it still needs to be toggled during DWG imports or whenever working with imported DWG files. Not a viable solution. Picture pasting translated DWG data into your template... all the "crazy dash" info comes with it.
