Our office is still using PC6 and I've recently gotten a MBP running 10.4. Some of my issues are: PC crashes when I try to open large presentation drawings created when running 10.3 on previous powerbook & unable to change layer colors. Does anyone have any advise?

I think I've narrowed it down to the gradient tool. When I tried to use it, PC crashed. Anybody else had this issue? is there a fix?

When Tiger (10.4) first came out, I remember there being a problem with not being able to change layer colors that ES fixed with program update. Check which version of PowerCADD you have vs. the last version on their website and update your copy if possible.

The issue of assigning colors by layer was identified earlier. We have the same issue - but no crashes as of yet...... we're not working that machine very hard with PC.

However, with PC 8 getting close to coming to the market and only for intelMacs, I don't think we will see any updates for PC6. It is not supported by ES any longer - in terms of providing software patches.

The patch would be to purchase PC7 or wait until PC8 comes out.

the version is 6.2.0. I've learned to work around the layer color issue, the bigger problem is the gradient tool crashing PC.

Our office is at the point of do we wait for PC 8 and sell the PPC machines we have and purchase intel or just purchase PC 7 and keep what we have.

I have OS 10.4.11 and PC 6.2.1 and none of these problems. MBP 2.4 MHz, 2 GB ram.

I may not be trying large enough files of late?

Downloaded 6.2.1, now crashing has stopped when using gradient tool. Thanks for the replys! I've been a powercadd fan for over 10 years and it's great to have this forum to get some feedback.
