After no responses, I found these fantastic photos of Dubai architecture ->>

http://www.aidan.co.uk/photos16-Modern%20Architecture.php

These two, particularly, are spectacular! -->>

The Creek Golf Club building and the

Burj Al Arab Hotel

According to this post -->>

http://www.aidan.co.uk/display_page2.php?photo=UaeDxbBurjV1415.jpg

"The Burj Al Arab Hotel, opened in 2000, has quickly become Dubai's most famous symbol. The 321m (1053ft) high hotel was project managed by WS Atkins and Partners. The architect is Tom Wright.

Currently my favourite modern building in the world. We are looking from what used to be the public beach just to the south, now part of a new hotel complex. This image was used on the cover of the Geoprojects Map of the UAE."

and -->>

"The Creek Golf Club main building is one of the most famous symbols of Dubai, and is on a theme of sails.

The Creek Golf Club is one of the longest established and most exclusive of Dubai's many golf clubs."

The Palm Island Dubai

Quote:
The Palm Islands in Dubai are the three largest artificial islands in the world, being constructed by Nakheel properties in the United Arab Emirates. Each settlement will be in the shape of a palm tree, topped with a crescent, and will have residential communities and resorts built upon them. It is possible to make these islands due to the wide continental shelf off the Dubai coast, and the relatively shallow depth of the Persian Gulf.

The islands were designed as part of the plan to develop tourism in Dubai against the eventual depletion of the emirate's oil reserves, which are expected to be depleted in the second decade of the 21st century. The goal is to become one of the biggest areas in the world for tourism as a means of diversifying the economy.

Now this is fantastic !

I have even bought a new digital camera for that,but oops time is to tight for me, but I will send some. I have some snaps but there are too common, meaning only interiors.
perhaps in the next few days I will get something good (snaps) for everybody to see.

Apart from UAE's richness, a fact that contributes to the wonders in architecture here, a big thank should also be extended to international architects working here, from as far as far east ( China,Japanese,Singaporeans etc) to West ( The US,Canada, etc) and not forgetting Africa... from as far as upto South Africa...
Their contribution has been a part of success of architecture here.

Dubai actually is investing it's wealth into real estate, not only for tourism purposes. but also as a sector that will boost or contribute to their economy, now and future.

Apart from the existing projects, there are some other big projects to come as recently I saw in construction magazine here. I came across a multi million dollars project of making a space toursits centre, I don't know how that will look like but it seems to be intresting. And others. Currently a networking of metro-train that will run in and around Dubai is at advanced stage, Proberbly next year it will start to operate,

Money is everything, basically success of Dubai is just because of that. And this is an advantage to development of this City. I also visited Ski Dubai, the biggest indoor sking facility in the world. This is maintained by using 3500 barrels of oil, per 24 Hours! and the facility runs non stop.
I also visited the most expensively built hotel in the world, (they say)but that's in Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE. Guys the place worth 3 billion dollars as they said. With Gold domes in some areas, this hotel looks very unique like a big castle,or palace. It has very good interiors too

And, the topic on Organic Architecture also contains many issues and ideas very applicable to Dubai, where some of the world's largest architectural mega projects are being built. In all this, we must not loose our sense of social responsibility and to respond to the environment in a globally conscious manner --->>

Yes, unfortunately money controls the world.....
But at the end of the day we, architects really hope that we still maintain that sense and sensibility to view architecture not only as a business affair....or else architecture as an art will vanish forever......
