i would say it is more the human condition
earlier this week it was proved monkeys at 5 months age are many times smarter in the area of memory than human beings
what sets humans apart is their idea to make stuff up aka to predict future
creativity and thumbs will do you in... _________________ The most necessary/useful piece of learning is that which unlearns what is untrue: 'evil'

Hmm -- well, I guess the Times occasionally throws a bone to the random conservative. There's something to be said for trying (still) to see behind the Administration's "curtain" - some suspicion that any intelligence reported by them has to be suspct ?

I had my outrage prepared.
Waterboarding of two weeks ago, tacitly condoned by the new Attorney General and Congress, but not by John McCain, thank you.
Subprime mortgage mess, curable by renegotiating and converting all loans to mandatory fixed rates at longer terms…why isn’t this being publicized?
Secretive vote and discussion taking place in Congress, making “intent” of a malicious act a “criminal offense”, so that I can be arrested on the alleged, supposed, anonymously reported RUMOR of me having an intent…thinking could now be a crime?
NIE Report, confirming what Mahmoud Ahmadanejad has said all along, and castrating all the fear mongers stoking up war.
Iran can still be bombed, and as speculated by Air America and others…Israel strikes first, we back them up, World War 3 that only the Bush government wants?
And it doesn’t help that Ahmedinejad played us like a fiddle, threatening the extermination of another country like he did…we fell for it, and we used it, Mahmoud used it…and now we have to call off the dogs of war.
And out of these very real, disastrous, un-American activities comes Abe Lincoln in a Gettysburg Address speech yesterday…Supporting the Constitution, supporting the common people who vote for him, supporting all of America if he is chosen President, and sticking unashamed with the Faith that gave him strength all his life while swearing it should not be used for or against him, and was a key to his emotional and moral and family success.
For just one heartbeat, Willy Mitt Romney picked up the tattered flag, and waved it.
Wow. Stand up and cheer. Integrity is pleasing to my soul, and I thank him for it.
Now will he keep his promise? _________________ Ed Ziomek |

Oh, good -- another pretty-boy president. Just what we need. If TV had been in place in 1860, Honest Abe would still be a minor figure from Illinois. . . _________________ "I'm the commander . . . see, I do not need to explain why I say things. what so many fell for was the deliberate mis-translation.
if one wished to see the end of Communism in Russia, it did not mean that one was calling for the destruction of the country and peoples of Russia.
the lie works on the assumption that Iranians must be antisemitic - the 40,000 Jews who live in Iran do not seem to think that where they live is antisemitic at all. _________________ Richard Haut has worked with the architectural profession for over 25 years and produces the weekly Richard Haut's Competitions, which has given architects details of many thousands of projects for which they can apply across Britain and Europe. |

Well you americans know so much and is so clever ; at the same time you refuse new technikes to solve huge problems here and there , you fight the visionaries and help the criminals -- allow cencur, your arts is a lie and a joke where the class bullie decide ,and no guts to take a stand. But how could you you think art is a social thingm your arts museums become the standard for your architecture ; fake tin Hats --- and these you display in honor of creativity --- just tell me where are the cheap safe houses , the houses a true new technology would evolve. Yet you think you are clever.
You want sab wood and bad design , as long as the designer are dead and the methods out fased ; even the swedish do a better plane then the f16. |

SDR , today I must find a Graffiti paint shop who has the huge bulk silver burner , and a few cans of fine touch black spray. That's not easy outside the season and I recon I has to bike most of the town to find a shop that is even open. ---- what I know though, is that this painting will be good. --- And it will be good on a fence, it don't need an arts museum.
December is not the month where you expect graffiti painters , at that time they spend their time in arts school. But not me as I can not refuse, aswell as I newer conformed, --- funny to see frameworks taken strait from 3d drawings (guess you know that when the 3d drawing is done , there realy are not much artistry bringing the frames to the n.c. cutter --- unless you say arts are to drive a n.c. cutter offcaurse --- just remember that without the 3d drawing , there be no frames ; so if you once again evaluate --- where are the arts , doing the 3d drawing, or running the n.c. mashin ? |

Rich...your quote....
"If one wished to see the end of Communism in Russia, it did not mean that one was calling for the destruction of the country and peoples of Russia. "
First off, Rich, are you deliberately trying to confuse me with the facts? Are you speaking of the US policies of "shoot first, dialogue second", or of the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad quotes of ending the existence of Israel?
The entire anti-Iranian speech list of the last 18 months is against the whole country of Iran, with some alarmist reports of "1000+ military installations".
It is all rattle crap PROPAGANDA, but it is alarmist, it is wrong, it is still dangerous, and it is damaging to all of us.
To me, the saddest, most tragic aspects of this whole situation are the exact mirror-image policies of two government personalities, who WILL go to war against each other just to bolster themselves politically at home!
By the way, I can't remember a time when so many American military people, and American government officials, and politicians all across the board have openly stepped up and said "We have to stop the spiraling war-rhetoric and get back to the fundamentals of talking to each other in a civil tone of voice".
War should not even be a consideration, for any reason at this point, so American people (and I am sure the Iranian people) are asking why attacking or "bombing" Iran is still "on the table" with no dialogue taking place officially. If anyone's answer is "Israel", then I would disagree as I believe America played the role of "interference" blocking Israel from air striking up to this point.
Meanwhile, in Iran, you have rare, civil protests taking place, with students and activists being arrested. That is a major concern, and this is also taking place here during Peace demonstrations.
We are so much like each other. _________________ Ed Ziomek |

What else could go wrong, or is it too right?
The last 7 or 10 days produced a trifecta of amazing events...
1. The NIE report last week showed Iran didn't have any nuclear weapons and was not attempting to make any, since 2003...and we knew about it, and we have been drumbeating for war to anyone who would listen on the false claims that they DID have nuclear bomb ambitions...and we were wrong.
2. At some US-China trade mission this week, American reps sat down eyeball-to-eyeball with the China government reps and proceeded to read a laundry list of trade practices that China must improve on, and the head of the Chinese delegation then politely told the American contingent... "Please fix your own problems in your own country first, before you tell us how to fix our problems." ...end of meeting, naturally.
3. But the grand slam... in Bali....issues of Global Warming...America refused to participate and/or cooperate under the terms presented.....
"The head of the U.S. delegation, Undersecretary of State Paula J. Dobriansky objected, setting off loud, long boos in the hall.
Next, delegate after delegate took aim at the United States, with South Africa saying Dobriansky's intervention was "most unwelcome and without any basis," and Uganda saying "We would like to beg them" to relent.
Then the delegate from Papua New Guinea leaned into his microphone.
"We seek your leadership," Kevin Conrad told the Americans. "But if for some reason you are not willing to lead, leave it to the rest of us. Please get out of the way."
The U.N. climate conference exploded with applause, the U.S. delegation backed down, and the way was cleared Saturday for adoption of the "Bali Roadmap."
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071216/ap_on_re_as/bali_climate_conference
Side note....overheard... "I have seen reports in the last three days, aggressive inflation indicators, meaning we are getting dangerously close to a stagflation situation, not at all good."
The world has changed, are we prepared to change, and is America is worse economic trouble than we even know? _________________ Ed Ziomek |
