Aucad Drafting Limited announces the release of Image2Punch Genesis 1.1, CAD software that may be used to convert virtually any digital image into a perforated pattern design. The perforated pattern design can then be converted into DXF/DWG file for many purposes, either in design and development or in manufacturing processes.

In the design stage, for example, a user can use the perforated pattern that has been converted into DXF/DWG format to create a digital perforated sheet metal as an integrated component of 3D presentation.

In the manufacturing process, the converted perforated pattern design can be used as a tooling layout to generate G-Code file. The G-Code file can then be used to create a physical custom perforated sheet metal using a CNC Machine such as Turret Punch or Laser Cutting machine.

Unlike the common perforated sheet metal which usually has a uniform pattern, Image2Punch Genesis lets a user create a custom perforated pattern based on the image document. The physical perforated metal, based on the custom perforated pattern using Image2Punch Genesis, can be applied in real world applications:

Architectural products
Agricultural equipment
Cabinet making products
Sanitation equipment
Pollution control devices
Lighting
Sound suspension
other possible applications associated with perforated pattern sheet.

Image2Punch Genesis comes as a free licence software product. The user may download and use the software for free without having to pay the licence. A small CAD conversion fee will apply if the user wants to get the CAD file format of the perforated pattern design. In short, the user only pays for the result, not the software licence.

Samples of perforated pattern designs and further information are available from the Image2Punch website - http://www.image2punch.com
