New student, new to this site!!!!

Could anyone suggest a good computer for interior design. i.e- PC or MAC, memory, etc. Also any infomation on the programs I could get installed for a head start on upcoming classes I'll be taking would be really helpful. (Besides the obvious Photoshop, Auto CAD, In Design)

Thanks!

This will depend on the university, school or program where you are enrolling, as they may place more emphasis on one system or software over another.

If the school is not into computers, that is another issue.
