Hi there
I am software engineer. I did my masters inputer science almost 10 years back. But I have always felt an inclination towards designs and build architecture, city planning etc. But i was not able to peruse my studies in Architecture earlier.
I'd like to study Architecture now so that make it my carrier eventually. Is it too late? How can I jump into this line now? Are their any institute in SF, Ca region that offer Evening or part-time courses in this line?

architecture is a big course and from it you can get different profession, you can be a lecturer, designer, interior designer, author, editor, software designer, cad technician, land scape, etc but think about what do i really want to specialise on,sure you can go back to school but its not easy coupled with the fact that architecture is a demanding and jealous lover,i know of a school in ca,its called SCIARC,southern california institute of architecture they offer begginner courses and i think you can contact them for more details........wish you best of luck |

Hi, there. Actually I'm an Electrical Engineering PhD student right now, and I'm seeking opportunity to have education on Architecture after my graduation. So I guess we have interest in common.
Is that possible to go back to college to start over and get a BA? |

I am assuming you are writing for studies in the US:
There are several universities that offer Master Degrees in Architecture for people who have degrees in other things other than Architecture. For example, UIUC and Georgia Tech. They usually go by the name "Track 3" or something similar. You will need to check around and do some research. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO MAKE SURE THAT THE DEGREE IS NAAB ACCREDITED (for studies in the US). Otherwise you will be wasting your time. _________________ "If your structure is only holding your building up, it is not doing enough." |

| Actually, there are many schools that offer masters programs for students with undergrad degrees are in an unrelated field. "America's Best Architecture and Design Schools," published annually by Design Intellignce (www.di.net), is a valuable resource in determining architecture programs that one might want to apply to, regardless of how accurate you might think the actual rankings are. It lists all the schools in each state that are accredited for both bachelors and masters programs. Most schools that have masters programs have the first professional M.Arch degree, although some do not. |
