I'm a member of a team in charge of the construction of a Green Home Building. We have a very tight budget, that's why we like to have all the information to the upmost detail. Which would be a reasonable or minimum percentage of construction waste regarding rough-in frmaing that we should take into account?

that definitely depends on your regional codes , OC , roof pitch, wall heights and most practically your sawyers skill with a wormdrive.
plan on making scrap , if you have to , for fire blocking.
that will cut your scrap to as little as possible.
If your concerned about "being green", I believe it's 15% gross max allowable for non recyclable; depends on region. |

Try light steel solutions, its cheaper then timber, less labour costs and no waste at all.
if you need more i can put in the right direction. |
