Hello everyone,
I am in need of some advice on getting started with a commercial construction project. Our hauling company has recently purchased land and needs to build an 80'x100' building to be used as a transfer station as well as a smaller building (80'x30')for a repair shop and office. The property has previously been dumped on quite a bit with clay and dirt before we purchased it and is about 4-6 feet above grade.
So here's my question...where do I start Who do I need to contact as far as getting building designs, surveying the land, grading the land, installing sewer/water drainage, etc. If anybody could just give me a rough outline of the first few major steps in starting this project, I would greatly appreciate it! Also if you know of any reliable contacts in the Thornton/South Holland, IL area that would help also. Thanks! |

I think you might want to start by talking to your city or county to get a good idea of any issues that may need to be addressed early on.
Probably you can find someone who has experience building the type of structures you need. _________________ Chris Stewart
